Default Drawing a line in the sand!!!

Tomorrow I am starting WW and losing as much weight as I can. Although I have lost almost 100 ponds in 2008, I am back here and struggling so hard to stay above the tidal wave of weight. So, I decided to drama line in the sand, start a formal program and work that program for the next 5 months to lose as much weight as I can so I don't have to take it with me into my 40s.

I know it is silly to have to join a program after I had lost the weight before and I "should" be able o do it myself.... But for some reason I need a little extra help this time.

Anyone with any advise.... Feel free to dish!!!!!!

Tammy

ladyrider72472 - I can so relate to what you're saying. I could have written this post myself. Just today, I decided that I will join an At Work program on my job on Wednesday. I have been struggling to get back on track and lose weight but I just can't seem to get it going. I know that going to WW will help me. Last year I lost almost 30 pounds by calorie counting but just can't get it going again. I so want to lose at least 60 pounds this year so I really need to get it going now!

I hope we are both successful with Weight Watchers. I am really excited to go on Wednesday.

This is my second week on the program. My first week I actually gained weight but I went 96 points OVER my weekly allowance. My weigh in is tomorrow and I have lost 5 pounds.

I truly love the program. I just feel like this is truly a way to live and not a diet. I was thrilled with finding out that I could still budget for my favorite potato chips this weekend (Ketchup potato chips, only 4 points a serving)

I have also found that some things that I would normally have eaten, I chose not to because they were too expensive plan wise and I didn't want to waste my points.

I also found out that eating a lot of fruit has reduced my chocolate cravings. I used to CRAVE chocolate several times a day. I would never go long without eating chocolate but now I can. Better yet, the craving is gone most of the time.

Weight Watchers has made a real difference for me. Even though I am not far into it, I can tell the difference already. Hope it works well for you as well!

Tudor Rose - Thanks for the encouragement and congratulations on your success! You look amazing.

I'm officially a WW member again and I'm excited to be giving it another try. I know that it works as long as I work the program. I'm going over my materials right now and I'm considering starting out on the Simply Filing plan.

Roxanne - How was your official W/I?

ladyrider - How was your first day?

Hi--first I want to say that getting help is not even close to being silly. Its smart. It reinforces your commitment and helps you keep track of yourself. I have worked off good amounts before too, but I find that WW makes it so easy to stay focused and positive. It's so very awesome that you shed so much weight on yoru own--kudos for you! Don't ever feel negative about letting others in to work it off with you, though

6.2 Pounds

I know it is just the first week WOOSH..... but I had a good epiphany today... I had originally said I need to be at my goal by my bday..... but you know what.... I am not going to go into my 40s with the do or die thinking... cause that has contributed to my yo-yoing..... I have got to finish this out if I don't want to take the dieting into my 40s.

Just thought I would let you know..... thats the real line in the sand.

How is everyone else?

Gettinfit: my first week, I gained two pounds, my second week I lost 4 and this week I gained two but honestly, I made some bad choices food wise and didn't track this last week. Not too worried about it.

ladyrider: amazing!! 6 pound lost is GREAT. Congrats on the epiphany. Isn't that amazing? It's a great feeling. For the first time ever, I feel like I can stick to this. I don't feel the pressure or the inevitable I am going to fail feeling.

good luck everyone!! I haven't done weight watchers, but I've heard it's a very real world, do-able method. There is definitely no shame in joining a program. After all, the best weight loss comes with structure and dedication. you can do it!

Ladyrider - on a great loss this week! You are doing your thing I agree with you on the "do or die" thinking. I've had the same mental attitude for so long too and I'm trying to change it.

Roxanne - Great job on your 4 pound loss last week and I hope next week is another good one for you. Stay strong.

Pomelo - Yep WW is a good program and I really enjoy following it. I can work it into my life and still lose weight.

I lost 4.6 this week and I even went out to dinner with a friend and had crab cakes & wine (used some of my bonus points). I didn't feel deprived at all last week. I'm lovin it

I hope we all have a great W/I next week.
