No, sorry. It's not on the sheet, which means it's not allowed.

Sorry, no. Although a great source of protein, they have quite a bit of fat and carbs.

From what I have learned from this site, (and I have been on this site for a loooooong time) is that some coaches allow them as restricted once or twice a week as a protein option not as vegetables.

They are not on the Phase 1 protocol sheet. If some coaches are tweaking the program, they aren't following IP!
Perhaps there is something different for vegetarians but for the standard Phase 1 protocol, no edamame, just like no peas, chickpeas, peanuts, or most other legumes.

I generally don't post, but this is actually not true. If you are vegetarian, it is a vegetarian protein option. 1/3rd cup is 8 carbs, 7 gms protein, 3 fat, and 83 calories. If your a non-meat eater you may want to ask your coach for the vegetarian protein options.

I thought they were in the (Green/Wax) beans category which is on the occasional list. I've had some and my coach was ok with it. I just won't eat them every week.

Minor correction: Beans (green & wax) and snow peas are on the Occasional list.

Yup. You're right. I just have them so occasionally (and snow peas not at all) that I forgot!
Made the correction.

Yeah, same here. Haven't had them since I started, but I remembered mentally inventorying everything in the freezer back then and thinking to myself that the green beans were okay once in awhile. I never wanted them badly enough to be bothered keeping track.

Ok, now I am really confused. I had them last night, but in an Asian stirfry mixture, which were only 20 calories, 0 fat, 4carbs and 2 sugars. It consisted of mushrooms, carrots, snow peas, edamame, and water chestnuts. I removed the carrots and snow peas and added about 1/3 cup of broccoli rabe. Think I will just play it safe once I finish the bag.
