Default I have to eat LESS???

My weight loss which was easily 2+ lbs a week has come to a slow creep. I'm 5ft and 199lbs and eating 1350 per day. I don't know that I could eat less and not in the end just cheating cause I'm hungry. A couple oz loss a week is just not keeping me motivated. Anyone been through this?

im right at 180 right now and i'm eating 1400-1500 a day with some exercise almost every day...i found that it helps me lose more if i change WHAT i'm eating instead of HOW MUCH i'm eating...i lose better on low sugar, low wheat 1400-1500 than "eating whatever" 1400-1500 if that makes sense...

it also might help to get the most "bang" for your calories by stretching out your food into more quantity for less calories...search for volumetrics...the fancy word for bulking up your food with low calorie food...the other day i had a very satisfying tablespoon of chili by mixing it with a big bowl of steamed corn (i only chose a tablespoon of chili to eat because my stomach doesn't like the beans in it, not because i'm THAT strict with my food lol)

i dont do low carb and i understand that there's carbs/sugars inherent in starchy veggies and fruits but it's worked very well for me to do low-sugar in that i avoid obviously sugar-drenched things...as well as obvious wheat such as breads etc...i'm not searching all labels to avoid wheat...but that moderate approach has allowed me to keep losing without dropping my calories even farther

This might sound crazy, but you may need to add calories. It sounds like you are working out several times a week and it could be that your body isn't getting enough calories to keep your metabolism where it should be. Try adding 150-200 calories for a week and see if that gets things moving.

I read on a dr oz post I think to trick your body. Up calories 100 one day then take them away another day. I have not been counting my calories so much. I just make sure to eat healthy things. I eat a lot of boneless Breast, veggies and whole beans, so I would have to actually start keeping track to do that. I wonder sometimes if I am not eating enough. Do u get your heart rate to a target heart rate? I tend to just try and sing along to my music, if I can only talk not sing I figure I am doing ok, since I don't really have a way to track it. It's tough when the scale doesn't seem to be cooperating.

This. Try to make sure you're eating at least your BMR! Don't cut calories, just add 100 of them to shock your body a little bit.
