Smile My mom is a bad, bad, woman

We were talking about jelly belly jelly beans and how good they were, and what flavors we liked. Neither of us have had any in years and she got some for Christmas as a gift. Well, anyway, We both agreed that as goofy as it sounds the buttered popcorn ones are our favorite ones. (Followed closely by jalepeno and pear).
Somewhere she found a tiny bag of buttered popcorn jelly belly beans and gave them to me as a gift. Now usually I feel like my mom kind of sabotages my dieting efforts, but this time her and my dad are being as supportive as they can be with all the problems they are having, so I know she didn't give them to me in a harmful way, just as a joyful gift she could share with me and I could enjoy at the same time she is enjoying hers.
350 calories are in that evil, delicious little bag. Sitting there in front of me taunting me, mocking me. I will eat them tonight I think, they fit easily into my calories for the day, and then I will call her and tell her how good they were and make her laugh when I tell her she is a bad, bad woman for giving me jelly bellies while I am trying to make my jelly belly go away, lol.
We can all use more laughter, especially in my family it seems. I think I will try to make a resolution for this year to remind my mom of the good times we had growing up, (even if they are few) and try to help her and my dad smile and laugh a little more as well as try to find something good and happy, if not every day, at least as much as possible.
Too sweet, I could only manage nine before my sweet tooth was screaming enough, enough. LOL.

I sure don't know about that popcorn flavored, but I love your story. My weakness is Jelly Belly raspberry candy. YUM! I divided serving sizes in to snack bags, and allowed myself to enjoy one a day until they were gone.

I'm glad your sweet tooth couldn't' tolerate more!

I love your resolution. Savor the good things, and the good memories. Life is too short.

I live less than a mile away from the Jelly Belly factory so I know your temptation. I love the pop corn too.

I, too, resolve to find the happiness in small things with my family and friends. I hope you started a trend.

I am so glad we aren't the only ones who like the popcorn ones! 1 mile away from the factory, oh man the temptation of that, I am always curious though, does it smell good or does the combination of smells make it smell bad??
