Ingredients:
PEANUTS (AS DEFATTED PEANUT FLOUR AND NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER)
TAPIOCA SYRUP aka sugar
PURE WATER
DEHYDRATED CANE JUICE aka sugar
RICE SYRUP aka sugar
VEGETABLE GLYCERIN aka sugar
SOY FLOUR
SALT
TAPIOCA STARCH
NATURAL FOOD FLAVORS
PAPRIKA & ANNATO
CALCIUM CARBONATE
LECITHIN aka fat
VITAMINS E & C (ANTIOXIDANTS).

The list of ingredients in processed foods is very frightening. Of course it's better than peanut butter, it's got all kinds of sugar in it! Reading labels is very important imo, when something has "less fat" in it they usually have to put all kinds of other junk in it to make it taste better. When buying a jar of peanut butter I want it to have only one iingredient in it: peanuts

Seriously, do you NEED 4 kinds of sugar added to your peanut butter?

Thanks txgeekgirl for the heads-up on the PB2 powder- I purchased the chocolate version (only one Kroger offered) yesterday and had it in my oatmeal with a little unsweetened almond milk- it was DELICIOUS! It added so much flavor to normal boring oatmeal without a lot of extra calories. Thanks again!!

I think it's gross. Sickly sweet and the texture's nothing like actual peanut butter. I would just go for PB2 or peanut flour and mix water and a bit of salt, or make room in your calorie allowance for real peanut butter

I bought a jar recently and had one spoonful and threw the whole jar out. Its awful! Weird texture sortof gummy tasting and sickly sweet sortof like if you added a bunch of sweetner in it. I was hoping it would be a good lower cal option but Ill stick to my 100 percent natural PB or nut butters instead. Im gonna try PB2 and see how that is...but after better than pb my hopes arent high

i use peanut flour from iherb, mix with a little water and salt and maybe a pinch of stevia and it's delicious and a fraction of the fat/calories

yes, you are all right about the better n peanut butter...I decided not to even consider it after hearing about PB2! There is a health food store down the hill at work that carries the PB2...I am going to get some this week. AND it only has peanuts, and salt.

Dagmar: PB2 is powdered peanut butter, with HALF the calories and less than half the fat!
