Smile 1,200 calorie diet

I have begun a diet of sorts, its simple eat anything you like as long as it does not exceed 1,200 calories of course eating a american chocolate chip muffin and a large hot chocolate probably means that's all you can have, I am using the myfitnesspal app to count my calories and I like it up to now what are you views on this diet?

While it can work, it would probably be better to incorporate healthy fruits and vegetables into that diet.

Good luck!

Yep same here, I eat whatever I want as long as it doesn't go over my 1,200 cal/day diet (and it's okay to exceed a bit I think, don't stress it). I do it in small portions though. I never really paid much attention to macros but recently I've noticed eating certain foods have different effects on my body.
While my diet allows me to have 2 cups of rice a day, I only have one because carbs make me lethargic. And if I do eat rice that day, I make sure I don't eat anything else that's carb-heavy. I can still have a serving of ice cream everyday but I noticed my body doesn't like dairy and weight loss actually slows down a bit (might be just a coincidence but it happens all the time when I have ice cream).
