Default My bra size is expensive.

So since I determined that I'm a 34DDD(F), I'm having trouble finding my bra size in my area for decent prices. I got lucky today and found two bras in my size that were on sale/clearance priced (and those two were the only bras I could find in my size that had any kind of discount -- everything else was full price, and there weren't many that were cheaper than $40, and even in those bras, my size was scarce), but I know that won't happen all the time when I search and I just wanted to know how you girls with awkward sizes get bras without paying buttloads of money? I'm talking less than $30. And I know my bra size will probably only get worse as these next 30 pounds come off and if the trend continues, I know a 32G will be damn near impossible to find in a store. Do y'all have to pay a lot in shipping for bras that don't fit right? I'm just trying to find the most affordable way to support my stupid breasts, lol. They aren't even that big, dangit; I should be able to wear a cute bra from target for $19.99, lmao.

I was SO SO excited to find some 32DD's at Marshall's today. I don't understand what bras people are wearing!

I get my 34H Panache bras at Nordstrom Rack for as little as 18.00 but usually around 28. Once you have a brand you like and size, eBay is great too. I get new bras for around 30-35 shipped. Sometimes less.

I'm a 32DDD/F and I know your pain. The cheapest way to get a bra is to go to Nordstrom, get fitted with an exact brand/model, and get online to find it. In person, I usually pay around $90 per bra. Online, I can often find two of the exact same bra for that price.

Lauren- Do you have a bra outlet near you? I think they call it the Hanes bra outet. (about 6 years ago I was measured as a 44ii) now when I shop I can make a 42dd and ddd work. At the outlet you can get nice and at time sexy bras for $15-20 a piece. If you join with a member card there are good savings. I buy olga and bali but bali sizes pretty small so I can't wear those yet. Maybe you have one by you? They are online too but there's more in the stores.

I'm in the UK 32jj at the moment and I've found brastop online, kind of helps but for the most part my size is almost always sold out so I have to pay £28 for cheapest bra at bravissimo unless they are having half prce sale...I hate that if i find a bra that fits in one brand i have to then go up or down with a different brand so forced to stick to panache lol they are pretty awesome though

I just thought I would chime in here (:

I actually work at a bra and underwear store part time while I attend college. We get a lot of ladies who come in that are similar to your size or who are your size. I know it can be difficult for you bustier ladies to find bras that are comfortable, cute and affordable, and this just isn't fair! I don't know if any of you ladies have a Hanes, Bali, Leggs outlet near you but I would recommend their website if you don't www.onehanesplace.com they have bras in OP's size and other sizes mentioned below. If you go to the search bar on the website and just type your size in it should bring up bras that come in your size. OP I would recommend the Bali Passion for comfort bra. It really is comfortable and offers the support that you would need. I think it's on sale for like $26.00 right now, so their prices are really great also. I know this totally sounds like an advertisement lol, I swear it's not, I just get a lot of ladies coming into my store who have a tough time finding bras in their size! I hope your are able to find some other bras that work for you at a decent price!

What is the point of a minimizer? I never really understood that. Is it supposed to make your boobs look smaller?

Shop sales! I'm a 28F and I've never paid more than $20 for a bra. It just takes some hunting

I go to brastop and figleaves most often and keep an eye out for when they've got a sale (like right now, brastop has 11% off and half price US shipping). I stick with the clearance section whenever I can, but sometimes hunting for coupon codes online makes it easier to venture outside of that.

Most companies allow you to do returns, but once you find your style/size preference, you won't really have to return anything

Yes, a minimizer just reduces the size your breasts look up to a size and a half. So if you are a DDD, it might make you appear a DD. It just makes it so your breasts aren't as out there, if you know what I mean.

Do stores stock the Kayser brand in the US? They've got a new range that goes up to an F cup, for around $20AU each. I couldn't believe it when I saw these pretty, cheap bras in my size. I used to either wait for sales or spend upwards of $50 for a bra that actually did its job.

I find that minimizers tend to give an awkward flat-boob shape though, but maybe that's just me.

I also co-sign online shopping. Definitely checkout figleaves and barenecessities, you can usually find bras in the $20s in the clearance section in around that size. And once you know what works, you can check ebay and sometimes get a deal.

However, my advice is don't buy too many bras if you're planning on losing more weight soon. I have a gorgeous and very expensive, barely worn collection of 36F bras (kind of went crazy seeing pretty bras in my size) that my now 30F/32E chest can't wear. Believe me, I've tried; if I could have them tailored down, I would!
