Answer to Hair Loss questions/concerns
Here is the response sent to my coach about hair loss:
While relatively rare, we see some hair loss occur around week 6 or 7 or later. The loss is TEMPORARY and the hair will always come back thicker, shinier, healthier than ever (can take up to 6 months).
This is a consequence of a TEMPORARY imbalance of sex hormones Excessive hormones (Male androgens: DHEA, androstendione and testosterone) are being liberated by the fat cells. We know our dieters release "toxins" from their fat cells as they lose weight. Evidence of this can be seen in some women whose menstrual cycles change. Excess hormones, lipophilic substances (plastics, pesticides and other organic substances) can be sequestered in the adipocytes and are released into the blood stream as well as they lose weight.
If your dieter is looking for more help with hair, skin and nails; they may add a packet of the jello or carn/gran/ every day, if they are consuming 3 other packets daily and there is not weight gain. And you can also recommend: the Omega-3's (5 capsules /day....2 after breakfast, 3 after dinner) and the Anti-Oxy (1 capsule 3 x a day) is sometimes helpful.
Hope this was helpful.
