You probably lost a lot of water weight with vomiting and other things, and now that you are healing your body is trying to replenish those lost fluids. Illness can cause an increase in weight, not fat, but water retention. Focus on getting better first. The scale will follow.

It's all water weight. You would have had to eat 7000 calories to gain 2 pounds of fat. Your body retains water when it's under stress, suffering an inflammation, or battling an illness. Nothing to worry about, it will all come off once you're back to health again and your body has normalized.

same happened to me when I had stomach issues. I had to have an IV and after all of that, thinking I would definitely lose, the scale was up! It will come off though, drink lots of water and keep eating right, don't stress, it will come off..

Give yourself lots of love and be proud of how well you've done over the last month with all the stresses/illness and staying OP. I know it's very frustrating right now because you want to see the results on the scale. However, try to imagine yourself 1 month from now, 3 months from now or even 1 year from now. When you look back on this situation, it will just be a little bump in the road. Hang in there and DON'T give up - you can do this! Jen

I know it is disheartening, but trust us...it's not fat. Give yourself time, your body holds water when it is stressed or ill or has been in recent memory. Just keep going and make sure to get all your water and salt.

be careful, that is A LOT of water...3 liters should be plenty. Too much water can be dangerous...especially if you are not getting enough salt in..
