I've been running for about a month now and have been thinking of trying a 5K in the spring. What's your plan for the winter months? I don't have a treadmill and don't belong to a gym, and my work schedule over the winter is brutal, so I figure I've only got the weekends until the snow starts here and then I'm done until spring.

I love running and am working my way to 5K... I have an app on my phone that is a great tool for preparing for it. It basically takes you from a couch potato to a runner. Starting off with a 30 second walk/jog rotation. Don't know about the winter though, going to have to figure something out. As long as it is not below zero and no snow on the ground, I suppose I can still get out there and run.
