Default Beans and Nuts?????

I was wondering if it is ok to eat beans and nuts daily. I know everything in moderation but I eat these two foods daily and would like to know if it is ok.

Thanks

I eat beans and nuts every day, but as you say, in moderation. I have 1/8 cup of sliced almonds in my morning oatmeal and either my lunch or dinner is usually centered around legumes.

It's very easy to overdo it with nuts (at least for me, anyway), so I'd just make sure you measure carefully your portions.

I love legumes and nuts and was bummed because my doc told me that because I'm highly sensitive to carbs that I need to strictly limit both legumes AND nuts because although they have fat and protein they also have carbs. I think it largely depends on your metabolic type. If you find you lose weight just by caloric restriction, then I'd say beans and nuts are ok. If you're like me and have difficultly losing weight unless you severely restrict carbs, then beans and nuts may not be for you while you are in the weight loss phase.

Yea definitely. Both are good sources of protein and nuts have healthy fats.
