Any word on this? I'm also a few pounds away from my goal weight and am curious about Phase 2.

I would do it. Even though P3 is the most critical, P2 increases your "real" food intake and helps your body slowly adjust to the increase of those extra calories. I would stick with P1 until you're 90% or even more to goal. You can still lose in P2 and P3.

I would stick with the plan that was in place when you began the plan. They seem to change it as much as one changes their underwear.

the new sheet is you stay on plan until you reach your goal weight. The reasoning my coach told me for not doing phase 2 is that there really is no difference except you are adding 8 oz of protein for lunch instead of a packet. Going straight to phase 3 after hitting your goal wakes up your pancreas because you are having your big meal at breakfast. Of course follow what your coach says, as I will follow what mine says.

Do you have to have your big meal in the morning? Could you have your larger meal and lunch or dinner if you prefer or do you absolutely have to have it in the morning? I am still on Phase 1 but you seem a lot more knowledgeable then my coach so I figured I would throw the question out now while I had a chance...Thanks!

I just completed phase two. It took me several pounds below goal, which is fine by me. However do what your coach tells you. My clinic does, p2, so I did it. Loving Phase 3, and to back up what Lisa sai, you have to eat it for breakfast. They want you to have the insulin release in the morning.
