Default Brown rice...confusion

I am relatively new to WW (2 weeks). I am tracking the .5 cup of brown rice I cooked for dinner and according to WW, its 4 points plus. But when I enter all the info into the calculator , it comes out to like 9 points. Should I be using the 4 points I seem to be seeing everywhere or what calculator says?

Are you measuring the rice before or after it's cooked? The information on the box is probably for for 1/2 cup raw (that's what my boxed brown rice lists the calories for, and in paranthesis is says "about 1 cup cooked).

This would explain the discrepancy, because 1/2 cup of raw rice would make 1 cup of cooked rice, thus explaining the 4 plus points (for 1/2 cup of cooked rice) and the 9 points (for 1/2 cup of raw rice making 1 cup of cooked rice).

I measured the rice before it was cooked. I made 1/2 cup raw, which was 1 cup cooked. So I will mark it as 9 points. Thanks!
