Hi!
My name is Carol. I am 42 years old. Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I have dealt with PCOS since I was 16. I slowly added weight at about 10-20 pounds a year. I was 300 pounds and have chiseled off 30 pounds over the last 5 years. A year ago, I had to have a hysterectomy and things are at a stand still now. I am curently doing Weight Watchers and exercise for 6 months and have gained 3 pounds. I am frustrated and at a loss. I have tried every diet, every med and every combination of things. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
Carol
Hi Carol, welcome to 3FC! Congratulations on maintaining that large loss! It must be very frustrating to have plateaued after your surgery and gained a little on WW. No advice, but I'm sure other people will be able to offer you some guidance. Hope to see you around the boards!
CAROL ~ yes, the body often stalls weight-loss after surgery until it feels you have healed enuff; and also holds water for some time afterwards as it heals. In time, it will start to let some lbs go again. Are you doing the old or new version of WW? Some people find going back to the old style helps them better. We have an active WW forum here and I'm sure they would love to give you some support ...
