Advice please - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

So I have lost 30lbs in 3 months

and I went shopping and picked up this black dress. I have been dying to wear one just like this for quite a while, so when I tried this one I fell in love! Plus, it was a steal at $13

Anyways, the reason I am posting this and putting myself out there is because I want to know if it looks ok on me. My boyfriend is taking me out Thursday night to dinner for our 7 year anniversary! And I want to look pretty! The picture isn't the greatest but the best I can do with webcam. I plan on getting control top pantyhose and wearing it with a pair of black pumps.

If this newfound confidence is skewing my judgement on if I look good please tell me. I was so disconnected with my body when I was 30lbs heavier. I didn't see myself as fat sometimes, and now on this journey I feel more harsh on how I look now

I just don't want to be fooling myself if I think I look good, but I don't.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That dress is great on you, your hourglass figure is lovely
And black pumps are gonna make your legs look so sexy and long :]
Also I wouldn't lie. I'm a firm believer in telling people how they look (if they ask, clearly)

You look great in the dress. All the curves in all the right places. Your boyfriend love it on you. I'm not so sure I would do the hose, maybe just a nice pair of sandals with heels or a black wedge. I never wear hose anymore, not even in the winter.

Do you have any other shoes though? I think a coloured heel (like pink) would really pop and be fun. I also think it would look good with a bling-tastic necklace...maybe something chunky. I usually only wear black shoes with a black dress if the shoes have some sparkly detail. That's just a suggestion though!

SO basically it is a great LBD that you can use over and over with different assessories. Congrats!

It looks beautiful on you, don't worry. It hugs your curves and slims you down at the same time, your boyfriend will love it! I agree with wearing a statement piece of jewelry, like a chunky necklace. I also agree with Pepino about the shoes, perhaps black dress with black pumps would look too "serious", some fun colored shoes or sparkly ones would be more fun and flirty.

I actually got it at Dots. I found it in clearance! I wanted to buy a dress just like this one for my goal, but this one will do good till I get there.

I'm going to go shopping tomorrow and see if I can find any cute colored heels. And I'm doing pantyhose because my legs are just WAY too white lol

How about silver sandals ? If you go for silver shoes be sure you jewelry is silver as well . white gold, platinum, whatever you can afford.
If you don't want silver, what about red sandals. I like black pumps but they look sort of winterish.

I'd definitely hit it up with a pair of red pumps, or something equally as "popping". Don't mono-chrome yourself in black. You're not going to a funeral! - you're going to dinner! and I also agree with something very "bling" - a nice chunky silver necklace or pair of super-dangly earrings.
