Default I LOVE my office cafeteria!

Just a random rave ...

My office has a partially-subsidized cafeteria that is just amazing. Of course, they have bad-for-you options but there is always a salad bar and often the hot plate has some delicious cooked vegetables! And I can get grilled chicken for $1.00.

Today I had 2 servings (a big plate) of bok choy (70ish cals) and chicken -- probably around 200 cals and it cost $2.20! Tonight for dinner they have "caponata" for a vegetable ... google it, it is delicious! On Monday I'm moving walking distance away ... definitely going to be bringing dinner home a LOT.

ANNND end pointless post. :-)

One of my clients has an excellent cafeteria like this. Not only is the cost for healthy items subsidized by the company, but they have a daily "Hot and Healthy" entree at breakfast AND at lunchwith full nutrition info available, plus by-the-lb sandwich and salad bars, plus an oatmeal bar in the morning, fresh fruit all day, etc.

Seriously, they're my favorite client to go visit.

That's awesome! Definitely helps you stay OP and cheap too!

PS googled "caponata" - something I'd try.

Oh wow I am jealous!!!!
At our cafeteria they make everything to order and it takes about 30 mins to get a veggie burger (a greasy, nasty, falling apart mooshy thing) for 6.99!

I would definitely take advantage if I were you
