Sorry I have been absent so long. I've been busy between work and admin duties at the other forum I'm at.
And, as well, my diet has suffered. I put 15 pounds back on. I got my doctor to put me back on Phentermine again and I've dropped 5 pounds in the past 6 days.
Hope you guys have been doing well. I'm going to try to be more diligent about signing in here. I think that's part of the problem w/ my backsliding.
Hi, Natasha. It's nice to see you here this morning although I am sure you are asleep after your shift. My condolences over the extra "fluff" but The Beach will get that off. Just do it fast before it grows roots like my current ones.
Get back on Ph 1 for a few days. I went from craving bad for me, out of the bag stuff to craving fruit and whole grains again (and decided that after I dropped the 3 pounds of the 5 I had gained back, I would go back on Ph 2).
I am a SB newbie, but can I relate to your frustrations. it is bad enough police communications dispatchers (or any type of dispatcher) requires HOURS of sitting and a stress level most civilians cannot even begin to understand. Not to mention the hours and all the other health hazards.
A week or two on P1 may be exactly what you need. I read your bio and you certainly are an inspiration. I know I do not know you, but I am "on the job" so if you ever need to vent feel free. I got your back!
*waves* Thanks for all the replies, guys. You sure know how to make a lady feel special!!!
Ruth - Thanks. I am doing my darndest to get rid of those extra pounds. They are NOT welcome here!!!
Twynn - Thanks. Good to see you again.
chickadee - Thanks. I was indulging way too often and had to give myself a swift kick in the rear to get back in gear.
cottage - Thanks. LOL...so glad I still have a beachtowel ready and waiting.
WaistingTime - Thanks.
Lexxiss - Aww, thanks. Things have been kinda hectic w/ my personal life. Long story short, I got my heart broken in January (totally not his fault...he's a really good guy and we're still friends). Took a week long vacation to Boston to clear my head, but when I got back home everything just built up again. Now I'm looking at a move, possibly to Boston...but I have A LOT of thinking to do before that happens.
jenne - Thanks. Yeah, I might go back on Phase I next week just to see if it helps. I've pretty much kicked my cravings for the most part, but I still seem to have a problem w/ eating too many grains and I think that's what has been stalling my progress for so long.
jekel - Nice to meet you. Thanks for the kind words. You're a dispatcher as well???
nice to meet you too I am a police sergeant currently assigned to our communications center. prior to becoming an officer I was a police dispatcher for many years.
sorry to hear about your heart getting broken. glad your friendship is intact though. I'm still trying to figure out dating as an adult. it was horrendous so I thought when I was younger, but all myinsecurities are still with me post divorce lol

Awesome...I'm also a Sergeant. I've been doing this for 11 1/2 years now.
Thanks for the kind words. It took me a couple of months to get over it and I think part of that was that I didn't plan on falling for him, so it REALLY took me by surprise. Unfortunately I only figured it out when I saw pictures of him w/ his new girlfriend. But he's a great guy and he's VERY happy w/ her...so I'm happy for him.
Natasha I see you are really close to your next goal (awesome job btw). Have you decided between the iPod and the bicycle? I bought myself a bike last year, first one since high school and I LOVE riding it. I used to run, but back surgery squashed that ( ok so I was more of a turtle, but at least i was moving). Riding the bike makes me feel like a kid. I am fortunate to live in an area wich boasts a beautiful bike path. If the rain stops I am planning on taking it out for my first spring ride tomorrow. Hey when you reach your third goal let me know, I am less than an hour from NYC!
I actually went ahead and bought the bike back in October w/ the extra money I made working our National Fair. I need to go get another tire, though, b/c I popped it and haven't been able to ride in some time. So I guess it'll have to be the iPod for me, LOL
I was actually in NYC back in January (only for the day, though). I visited a friend in Boston (well, Fitchburg, actually) and we took an overnight trip to the city. I love NYC...would love to live there.
I always keep a spare tube and CO2 container in my bike bag, plus the tools to pry off the tire. I pray I never need to change the tire on my own, but you never know. Maybe my prince charming will find me then lol.
NYC is awesome! One of the best not so secret places is the TIKTS booth in Times Sq. The sell same day tickets for shows at half price. My friend and I go when we have a few extra dollars as we both love Broadway. I always thought I would like to live in the city, but 9/11 changed that. Now I want to move further north where it is more peaceful. I like feeling removed from work lol
