Default Blender Love

My guy and I got a blender for a wedding gift a couple weeks back. I didn't really think of it as the greatest gift in the world, it was just a kitchen appliance we didn't currently own that somehow found its way on to the registry. Who doesn't need a blender right? Well I took it out of the box the other day to try and blend together a smoothie to satisfy a sweet craving I was trying to placate. And OMG! I can honestly say that this is the first blender I've ever used that can successfully crush ice and its amazing! I love you Kitchen Ninja! So now I am knee deep in the world of healthy smoothies.
Today I made one (my own creation)with plain greek yogurt, blackberries, beets, and a banana. It was just good as anything from Jamba. So I decided to compare my smoothie v. the closest thing I could find from Jamba which is their banana berry smoothie
My Smoothie:
Cal: 240 Fat: 2g Fiber: 12g Sugar: 28g Protein: 10g
Jamba Banana Berry
Cal: 400 Fat: 2 Fiber:3g Sugar 57g Protein: 3g

Crazy, and it tasted just as good! I just had to share!
So now that I'm on my smoothie kick, does anyone have any good recipes?

I just discovered the Oster personal blender and I have been in love for a good 3 months! I use frozen strawberries, skim milk, a banana, and frozen spinach. DELICIOUS

I couldn't live without my blender and mini food processor. I use the blender almost daily to make protein smoothies and the food processor to chop nuts, flax, frozen fruit, and make lots of healthy no-bake desserts and banana "ice cream." Love it!

We bought a blender loooong time ago. And I'm ashamed to say that I haven't even used it once

We have a big blender in the house and a small one that makes single serving things. I love that small one because I can make my protein shakes every day

I have a blender but never use it, or maybe once a month. But your smoothie sounded so good I just made one and am drinking it as we speak. It's nice!

I <3 my vitamix. Right now I'm drinking a green smoothie with rice milk, kale, a kiwi, an apple, strawberries, blackberries, goji berries, cacao nibs, and flax seed. I always try to put either kale or spinach in, which sounds disgusting, but it is a great way to get in some raw veggies, and green apples really cut the odd taste. Just get creative. It won't always be a hit, but I've had very few misses.

I just bought a vitamix and I am IN LOVE with it! It does the most amazing smoothies! I like to do coconut milk, carrots, spinach, pineapple, and banana. Sometimes I do berries instead of pineapple.
