Default Egg Allergy :( I need breakfast ideas...

I have had an egg allergy for about 8 years. I was on Atkins before my allergy and lost 50 lbs. Well I need to lose much more weight and the allergy seems to be holding me back on alot of recipes. Does anyone have good breakfast ideas for me???

Hi Jessica! Check out the phase 1 breakfast link above for a few non-egg ideas. I've been doing a lot of smoothies for breakfast lately. You could also try cottage cheese or even eat non traditional foods for breakfast.
Good luck!

First of all, to The Beach.

Check out the Phase I Breakfasts in the recipe section. There is no need to have eggs. Lots of us have non-traditional breakfasts like leftovers from the night before.

We tend to think outside of the box here...often having leftovers, or beans with cheese for breakfast. ONe of my favorites is a deli meat roll up....mine will be turkey with cream cheese, seasonings, red pepper, cuke, and onion. YUM!

I ate the crock pot beans every day for breakfast for almost two years. I've done all sorts of leftovers in the morning from the night before; soup is particularly good for some reason.

I second the soup. I like to eat leftovers for breakfast. I eat traditional breakfast foods, too, but not always at breakfast time.

For phase one more traditional breakfast, I love the chia pudding (recipe section); phase 2 I make a muesli out of raw oats w nuts, almond milk, and maybe some fruit. I like the flax muffin, too. I add a little applesauce and nuts or berries to it and have it with a glass of almond milk. That is a dense breakfast too. You won't be hungry for days! lol

I like smoothies
For P2, I like to make protein smoothies- 1 scoop protein powder, 1 banana, ice and almond/skim milk in the blender! Yum! Also, I like 1/2 cup oatmeal with milk and natural peanut butter on top (and 1/2 a banana sometimes)
For P1, I also like black beans with low fat sour cream, avocado, salsa and a tiny bit of cheese. You can also make the smoothie without the banana and add a bit of kale/spinach or an extra scoop of protein powder too!
