Default some questions..

hey yall sorry if these seem like some dumb questions but.. these are the calories i plan on doing

Monday-1300
Tuesday-1250
Wednesday-1250
Thursday-1250
Friday-1350
Saturday-1350
Sunday-1250

My questions are...is this called zig zagging? or is zig zagging more on a larger scale of different calories per day...

Is it okay to do this? Will it slow down my weight lost? Im not stuck on a certain weight or anything.

Is it better to just stick to one calorie number to hit every day?

Thanks for the feed back =]

Im no expert but I wouldn't really call it zig zagging. I think if you want to try that it should be a bigger difference. But you could aim for a range of between 1250 and 1350. As for zig zagging working, I'm sure it depends on the person. I have been trying to get into that though bc I like the concept

50 cal is small. I aim for one number and that's within my variance range. Some days a little more, some days a little less. I wouldn't call it zig-zagging.

I wouldn't call that zig-zagging either because the range isn't that high. I'm starting zig-zagging as well and here's what my week is going to look like:

Sunday: 2000
Monday: 1500
Tuesday: 1400
Wednesday: 1300
Thursday: 1500
Friday: 1500
Saturday: 1800

Also, I don't know how active you are but based on the weight under your username (175) I think you could probably eat more then the 1250-1350 range. You don't want to eat too little because once you are at a lower weight and need to eat less to lose weight, you don't have many calories available to cut out.

Freedieting.com has calculators that give you an estimate of how much you can eat to lose weight. They even have a function where it zig-zags your calories for you.
