Default Help with ideas for what to eat at SF

Hoping someone here can help me. We are taking our first trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain next weekend. We have been to the one in St Louis many times however. When we used to go I would "Pig out" on the wrong stuff. Nachos with a lot of cheese, meat, sour cream. Funnel cakes and ice cream(won't be a problem this time-gave up sweets for lent). Corn dogs and chili fries. So basically I need to know what they have that I can eat. Anyone been and know what's doable that won't leave me working my butt off on Monday?

In situations like that I tuck an apple and some string cheese sticks in my pocket and just say "no" to their food. It is horridly expensive and not worth it. I concentrate on the rides and the excitement. I concentrate on being able to actually fit in the seats and not have to panic about the seat belt being big enough. I do allow myself as much diet soda as I want. I normally drink no sodas so this makes it a treat for me.

When I go, I drink only water for beverages. I would also pack something very easy to eat at mealtimes. Often the people with and I will pack lunches and go back to the cars to eat. It's an extra little walk, but it saves money and calories. And we don't have to carry food with us.

If you don't want to leave the park, maybe pack some sliced pita bread and a little thing of hummus and some fresh veggies. Maybe a piece of fruit.

And if you really want a treat while you're there, pick one thing and split it with someone (or several someones). Then you can have some and not eat too much of it.

Good luck and have fun!

I would pack snacks, but I also recall that most parks have salad, grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, etc. at several of the cafes. Order mindfully and you shouldn't have a problem.
