Default Price Increase for IP Products

I had my weekly weigh-in this evening, and there was a sign on the counter indicating that prices are mandated by the IP company to increase on March 1. Individual items will go up $1 each to $5, and boxes will go up .95 per box. That makes no sense to me at all. I don't like to buy the boxes bec/ I don't want to have to eat the same 3 IP foods all week. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you.

This is exactly why I switched to alternatives, the last time I went to my coach she encouraged me to buy as much as I could buy then cause the IP products were going to get more expensive, so instead of buying more I stopped buying completely and invested my time and what is left of my money to start using alternative products and never looked back and that was like 4 months ago.

We receive a monthly newsletter by email and the price increase is going from $4.00 to $4.15 per packet or from $27 to $28 for a box...at least where I go. We are allowed to purchase individual packets at the weight loss center I go to. I had not heard anything about a price increase before today. The newsletter said that there had not been a price increase in 6 years....everything else is going up...I think I will finish up on IP as I don't have much more to go. However, my husband is going to start after I get to Phase 3 and I think I am going to recommend he try alternative products. They seem to work for others!

I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I am very suspicious about the large increase for individual packets. I've been reading all evening about the alternative products that others have tried, and I'm going to switch. All I get from the place where I go is a weigh-in and measurements taken. I can do those things at home.

Interesting. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from ITG and didn't see any mention of a price increase. I order by the box though so it may be different elsewhere. It's also interesting that when I used to go to a clinic and buy the packets individually they were $4.29 each, and we didn't have the option of buying boxes. It's amazing how much prices differ between places!

Prices actually went up for me back in December. They went from $27 a box to $29 a box. My clinic won't sell them indiviually. I no longer go to my clinic.

I haven't heard of price increases either, but I already pay $30 a box so hopefully they won't go up any higher. It already bugs me paying that much when everyone else is paying less.

My clinic didn't mention anything yesterday when I went in. They used to do full boxes but started doing individual packets about 5 months ago and it's great for trying something new without the committment of a whole box. In the long run, I bet they sell more variety that way. I wonder if your clinic is charging more because of the extra time involved in filling packet orders vs box orders?

I pay $4.00 / packet (and they sell them as packets or boxes), so it's $28 / box. I'm just glad I'll be done soon 'cause I'm tired of spending this money on this...BUt it's all good!!!

Today at my clinic there was no mention of an increase. Still paying 27.00 per box. Today I had to buy double the amount because we'll be out of town next week. My daughter is almost done, then at least I can stop the bleed a bit.

Maybe the cost of shipping has gone up because of the cost of gas?

All I know, is yay alternatives!

I think most places charge around $4 a packet. I pay a bit more but $9 sounds awfully high. You might want to go to another clinic and report that one.

It's because she lives in Canada. I couldn't imagine paying that kind of money on anything (even the American prices). I know its worth it, but as a broke college student I struggle to even buy cereal.
