Default I am back - don't tell anyone

I seem to have been dipping in and out of here for years, just look at my join date!!

Hopefully this will be the year - she says, again!

Also hopefully there will be no-one here who remembers me, cos that would mean you all lost weight and went away

Anyhoo, ticker says it all - lots of pounds to lose!

Ticker suggests I lost 5lbs in a couple of days, but that is because I posted here a few days after I started.

I have lost 5lbs in 2 weeks - yee flaming ha!

And best of all the odd diet is still easy enough to do! Yay!!

Oooooooooooh! Bad week. Got notice of observation next week so I have been busy dotting is and crossing ts - really boring!

So I only got to the gym once! Worse I forgot to take my slimfasts to work, so I have only done 1 proper diet day this week.

Never mind, back on track on Monday! It is not the end of the world!

Here's my advice...

Never say you will restart on Monday. Always restart at the next meal.

Well, Cathy! I shall do it this year. Actually I AM doing it this year. I have started going to the gym for an early morning 30 mins and am finding the alternate days OK, usually. I fell off the wagon because of pressure at work and so I am writing a diary to try to be a bit more proactive so it doesn't hapen again - 2lbs went back on, but I refuse to change my ticker cos I will be back there by the end of next week

Shell, if, sorry, when we make it I'll stand you a low cal lunch on the border!

I like the advice kcoftx, but the diet is 3 days a week to allow me to eat normally when OH is home. That's part of the 'doability' to ensure I can stick to it. I have no intention of setting myself goals I cannot meet.

So my weekly goal is to keep a food/feelings diary and to identify days that I know I will be stressed. One example is that I will be very very busy on Tuesday, so I need to think ahead - up or down day? Up day cos I will be driving kids around and socialising. So take cash and make sensible choices! Hopefully such simple things will mean I down't make the mistake I made last week.

Oh and exercise will be easier once the clocks change - 6.30 won't seem quite so early

Welcome back Stef - you'll be delighted to hear I don't remember you....

Re eating normally when OH is home, I used to cook everything from scratch fwhen my ex was still around and he never realised he was actually eating diet curry/pastabake/whatever. It's very do-able - happy to give recipes for anyone that wants them. Having said that, you may already be doing just that

I'm looking forward to the clocks changing too - no more exercise in the dark - yay!

I have internet back at last!

Thanks Elliemar - not being known is great

And yes, we do cook from scratch. OH is quite good at cooking well balanced foods. It is more the amount we eat, I think! I made a promise that I would not stop cooking/baking etc.. that would be torture. So we are spending a lot of time thinking about skinnying our normal meals. It's fun, to be honest!

I'm doing really well. I spent the last week or so calculating kcals. I haven't lost any more weight, I have been trying to calculate how many kcals I really do need on the Down Days. I must have been successful as I haven't gained anything either.

So I can safely say the big push has started. I have a 3 week mini goal of 8lbs and Onderland by May 7th (ish).

Then I shall have a rethink!!

Have you tried using myfitnesspal.com? It's been a revelation to me. i do Slimming World but am struggling and have discovered lots of stuff that is actually high cal in my diet so have been tweaking things. It might help you see where you can make changes.
