Exclamation Some Questions..

I know carrots & peas are to be "avoided" but I dont like very many veggies & I can only eat so much broccoli! When I do eat steamed carrots or peas I do try to eat smaller portions of them...Is that ok?

Another thing is, I know we're supposed to eat 2 cups minimum for lunch & dinner but sometimes I am just full & I dont finish my whole meal whether its the protein or the veggie..sometimes there are still "leftovers" on my plate...I usually drink water with every meal & will eat quite a bit of my veggies first but I stop when I get "comfortably" full...Is it ok that I can't finish a meal?

Btw Monday will be my 2 weeks of being on SB ! I'm excited bc I havent cheated & I've been around lots of temptation & I have had some moments where inside I was just SCREAMING for a piece of cake or candy bar but told myself NO! bc I want to be healthy!

Technically, peas and carrots are to be avoided on Phase 1, but you may have them in Phase 2. As long as you are getting your 4 1/2 cups of veggies in every day, it doesn't matter what time of the day you eat them. The 2 cups for lunch and dinner are just helpful suggestions to make sure you ARE getting them in.

Congratulations for a successful Phase 1, and good luck with Phase 2! Do remember to add in your new foods slowly, and you may want to check out the Phase 2 stickies in our FAQ section for guidance.

I actually eat a lot of my veggies mid afternoon! I am not a big fan myself and have found that almost all of them are better tasting roasted.

Have you tried roasting your veggies? I didn't used to like veggies either and now I LOVE them. Your tastes will change if you give them a chance .
