Default 11 pounds in one week and 1 in the next??

I had lost 11 pounds my first week of dieting and have been exercising for about 30 mins each day. The 2nd week I didn't get out on my break at work and exercise but still have been eating the same way (no pop, lots of water, no fried or high calorie stuff). Yet since Monday I have only lost 1 lousy pound. What am I doing wrong here?? We have weigh in on Tuesday for my "biggest loser" at work and I am worried I'll gain weight!!

I also wanted to add that I want to give myself a cheat day, but I cannot bring myself to do it when I haven't lost but 1 pound!

I don't know I am not sure. Like today I ate a yogurt for breakfast, a slimfast for lunch and a turkey salad with onions, peppers, cucumbers, pickles, spinach and lettuce in it and fat free italian salad dressing. No drinks other than water.

You're not doing anything wrong. Your body is in shock from the sudden change in your dietary habits & working out. Give it time, your body WILL catch up & will release Sounds like a visit from the whoosh fairy soon!

I hope so, this is very frustrating. I am not only trying to lose weight but trying to lose a fair amount by June when we go on vacation and 1 pound a week isn't going to cut it

It's pretty common to lose a large amount the first week or so when you begin a new plan (I lost 8 pounds my first week) and then you usually start to lose at a more normal pace. 1 pound a week is a very healthy pace!

Your initial weight loss was not fat. It was most likely water weight, toxins, and other crap in your system. 1-2 lbs/week is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. Though it may be tempting to eat way less and lose way more than your supposed to, you'll go crazy and/or gain it back within a period of time. Don't let the 1lb discourage you. Weight loss takes patience
