Week 2 of the Spring Break Challenge!
[U]HEY LADIES!
I will be starting a new thread after each weigh in each week!
CONGRATULATIONS to shelflife, who had the highest % of weight loss this week! And congratulations to everyone who lost weight, remembered to weigh in, and stayed on track! You all did so well.
Now, if you forget to weigh in, you will be on a list highlighted in yellow. If you are highlighted in yellow, it means it is your first offense not weighing in, if you have a second offense you will be highlighted in red, and if you have a 3rd week, you will be eliminated from the challenge, so please remember to weigh in!
As a group we lost:19.5 lbs this week!
Our Group Goal is 641 lbs by Spring Break
and we have 621.5 more to go! So keep losing that weight girls!
Next week will be a TEAM CHALLENGE! if you do not weigh in next monday, you will not be put on a team, so again, remember to weigh in! If you see any of our girls posting on the old thread, let them know to check this one!
Congratulations on our first week together ladies =]] keep it up =]

i seem to get stuck at a plateau every time i land on a number that ends in a 0.. lol 150, 140 and im sure 130 will be hard to surpass also. Basically i have to eat less and exercise more to get past it.

The team challenge will consist of 3 teams, i will split you all up randomly. And the group with the highest % of weight loss for the week will get to decide if we continue with team challenge or go back to individual weight loss for the next week. So it'll be a pretty fun challenge!
When i get stuck in a rut i hit the tredmill and do intervals. Intervals are the best way to trick the body and lose the maximum amount of weight. When i do intervals all week long i have 4-5 lb weight drops. Speed walk on the tredmill at an incline....and then everytime you hit 2 minutes....jog or sprint at that incline for 2 minutes, and switch on and off for a good 30 minutes and you will burn more fat than youd ever believe!

I'm trying to break through a plateau at the moment too. The 160+/-5lbs range always give me trouble. I'm hoping regular workouts will help me break through. We will see, I guess.
Claire, what incline do you use on the treadmill for your intervals? And what speeds?

I drink tea of all sorts every day. Green tea is especially good with a little bit of honey. Blue berry/pomegranate is good for the antioxidants, i dont know what else its good for, besides warming you up on a cool day. Most tea is a natural diuretic though, so it will make you pee alot. I probably drink more tea than water, but sense it is 95% water, i still get the hydration.

i never liked tea... but people always told me that green was really good for me. so, a couple of years ago, i would make a cup for myself, add some honey and drink a sip or two...make a face and throw out the rest. I drank a little more every day, using less honey. Now I drink it nearly every day without anything in it- the stronger the better, i just love the taste!
