Talking Going again to finish

HI I am new to this site. I am doing IP again after about 3 months off because of kidney infections, surgery etc.. I thought at first it was the diet that caused this, but i found out that it was from medication i was taking for migraines. I want to lose another 28 pounds. I want to be successful and get to maintenance.
I wanted to know if others are like me and lose at the most 2-3 lbs a week even when following this diet to the letter? I read about those losing 8-9 lbs a week and that has never happened to me.
Just want to be sure I am not losing it.
thanks...

You are not the only one doing that....some of the posters lose.5-1lb a week....i average around 2.5-3.7 a week over an average of 31 weeks...I never had a big week after my first 2 weeks. Others will chime in...just watch....lol

9 weeks and I average 3 a week. This is what most on the site have experienced. The body will only let so much go. Seeing I have a bad habit of Weighing myself every morning.... I will way two days at zero, then lose 2, gain one, then lose 2. Then someweeks it's a 1/2 pound everyday. There doesn't seem to be anything that makes the difference. I have had a 10 day span of staying the same with in .4 of a pound. Have faith, follow the plan, and it will come off. Good luck on your last diet ever.

Thank you...my dr told me to stop weighting myself because i will get discouraged if i see that I have gained anything when I have not cheated and I am doing what i am suppose to and he is right. UGH so i am going to wait till I weigh in every friday and just go with that. I am glad that i am not the only one wil the smaller normal lb droppage. PHEW. thanks

It sounds like you have been through some terrible illnesses recently. Maybe your body just wants to hold onto what it has during the recovery process. Don't stress. It will come off.

I think most who loose 8 to 9 pounds per week are in the first two weeks of the diet. I know the IP website says the average woman looses 3 to 4 pounds per week and men of course more. I average around 3 pounds per week myself.

I am so happy to know that I am not the only one. I just feel like a failure when I have been in phase one since Jan 2011. I know I had to go off it for 3 months but I wish i was in maintenance by now..LOL I will get there but I am just sooo slow. not like others on here..lol I will get support from all of you.
