Good morning all! I wanted to share what I had for dinner last night - mashed potatoes, roasted chicken and gravy. mmmmmmmm....and ALL legal. The mashed potatoes were actually mashed cauliflower and the gravy was IP chicken soup, which I put over the "potatoes" and chicken. It felt like I fell off the wagon and went to heaven.

I purchased a very small crock pot over the weekend and put a roast beef in it this morning so when I get home from work, dinner will be done! I still have mashed potatoes left from last night (and gravy) so tonight's dinner is going to be fast and yummy.

Morning Everyone.
Well today is WI#5 and I am sure hoping I see something great on the scales today. This has been an expensive slow loss on IP for me. I am thinking maybe it is all the sodium in these packages? Hmmmm. Anyhoo, I wish everyone lots of luck to whomever is weighing in today. I will post my results when back this afternoon. God, which is a long ways away it is only 4:30am here on the West. Why am I up?

WI and measure for me today too. I feel good Just have to get into my little exercise routine. I have my staff Xmas party on Friday night. I am not going to the supper. I have a new sexxxy outfit to wear. That I may go to the party about 9 pm. I said for drinks~but I am not drinking~I'll drink coffee. I am fine with that. If I even go~cause there is a sale Saturday morning, a store has a one day sale~70% off~sooooo I'd rather spend my money on new clothes which I need, rather than the Xmas party. Plus people are not getting along @ my work anyways. I'd have much more fun shopping

Hang in there Bebe, comparatively you don't have a lot of weight to lose so it will come off more slowly than those of losing 100#. I have quit comparing my losses to everyone else because all of our bodies are different. As long as I am losing either pounds or inches I know IP is doing it's job. Good luck at your WI.

Good morning...I was so hungry yesterday, all day...tried so hard to not cheat...but I fell off the diet last night and wonder why this morning? I had two restricted and then found some ranch veggie dip in my fridge that my daughter left after a visit..the ranch dip that comes with the veggie tray from Costco...well I didn't eat any carrots...or any peas...but I sure enjoyed the brocolli and a whole bunch of that yummy tasting dip in the evening..I am throwing the rest of it away...so this morning the scale is up one pound...which I am not surprised.
So I guess my question is why do I have days that I am so hungry? I am in the middle of my third week. Also, how bad is ranch dressing? it has no carbs in it?
Oh well, today is another day and I will stick to the program 100%
Enjoy this day

Hunger definately comes and goes on this diet. I can't say that I haven't been hungry through my journey. When it hits me I usually grab some lettuce or pickles and drink some water. LOTS of water. In the evening that I'm noticing I need to 'munch' I will brew up some tea. I will pour myself a massive mug (500 ml) and put one packet of stevia in it. This seems to help me...it's more about distraction. I once vacuumed for 45 minutes just to give myself something to do because I was hungry.

Don't worry about the sugar/carb count in the veggie dip...there is nothing you can do about it now. Just jump back on the bandwagon and give yourself the credit for doing that.

Stop weighing yourself everyday too, don't let the vicious cycle of "how come it's changed" "how come it's not more" get at you. Sometimes stressing about weight will make you hang on to it.

Good Luck!

Just my two cents!

I have been the same way the past couple of days. I try not to think about it, but at times it really is hard when my stomach is really growling. I am going to have to try the hot tea and see if that helps any.

Good Morning All,
I did really well at Thanksgiving. I took my food scale with me to my sisters and made sure that I had the correct amount of Turkey. Then I had to have a tiny spoon full of my mother's green beans. I took some spinach with me and had cucumbers. I cut the pies for the all kids and when it was all over my fingers, I didn't even lick them, I just went to the sink and washed it off and continued on with the next. Friday was really hard, being at home all day, I just wanted to much so bad, but I didn't.

I weighed myself this morning and I am down another 5 pds. So that makes a total of 13 pds in 2 weeks. I am so excited. I haven't measured myself yet to see if any inches are lost yet.

Congratulations to all that stayed OP thru the holiday and those that fell off but jumped right back on the wagon. We just have to remember "That we control food, food does not control us".

Good luck to the others that are weighing in today.

Good morning all!!! I hope everyone's day are off to a great start. All I know right now is I'm obsessed with cabbage. Its the only veggie I want right now. My hubby laughs at me because I had to go buy 3 more heads to last me the week. Anyone else get on a veggie and stay on it for a while? I have been eating cabbage everyday since back OP Friday.

I am the same way, hubby will come and sit at the table, and then say "again". I tell him that he does not have to eat it, I made it for me but he is welcome to have some. If not then I have prepared another vegtable for him. And it is cabbage that I have been having. I love to saute it in a little olive oil with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. I could eat it all day long.

I'm sure that this has been asked before, but I'm new. Is green cabbage allowed on IP or is it just red?

I made it through my first day of IP yesterday with no problem. I was kind of shocked by how much protein goes with dinner. I weighed it, and said to myself, "I'll never be able to eat that much meat!" But I did!

Onward to day two! I really think this forum is fantastic.
