Default This is a learning process!

I had my 3 week WI on Tuesday and was a little disappointed that I didn't lose more that week.

But then I found out that egg plant and brussel sprouts are high in carbs.

So this week I am not having any restricted items and hopefully, that will kick my system back into losing mode.

14lbs down - 20.6 to my goal!

Hi, Hang in there... I just started today. My coach told me I can have brussels sprouts and eggplant once per week. Well, I could chose them from a handful of other high carb veggies....

14 is great!!!

Hello focused - you may have weeks where you dont lose alot, just a little, but then other weeks will be more. Important thing is you are going in the right direction. Brussel sprouts(which are my fave), beans, eggplant, palm hearts, snow peas and tomato are the vegetables you can only have twice in one week(meaning any of these you can chose from 2x in a week.
YOu are going great, 13 lbs in 2 weeks is awesome!!

That was actually my fault because I was thinking you could have the items multiple times in a week, but my coach told me once a week only.

I'm not really a big fan of brussel sprouts, I wanted to try somedifferent veggies.

So if I'm going to eat something high in carbs, it should at be something I really enjoy! LOL

Can someone else chime in on this. Because i thought the occasional veggies were 2x a week, not one.

My sheet says you may choose two items only per week from this list for the occasional veggies

I had egg plant multiple days and brussel sprouts multiple days in the same week. I am not going to do that again. It doesn't work for me.

That is why we can only have them twice a week. But you know it doesn't work for you now. You just have to figure out what works for you, what works for some doesn't work for others. Everyone's body reacts different to different foods

I still lost -2.2 in WK 3, but I was really sticking to the protocol and the only thing I could figure was the egg plant and brussel sprouts.

My coach was very encouraging because I did lose inches as well.

I remember when I did Atkins a long time ago people would always say don't expect a lot out of your 3rd week. The reason is many of us of course have these big losses the first two weeks due to water and so on. The 3rd week things start to settle down a bit and your body may be saying, "Whoa, what's going on here.", and so it kind of holds back. So I'm not that surprised that you didn't have a great loss the 3rd week. My 3rd week was also my smallest loss too, but the 4th week I did just fine. Just follow the plan and you will do great. Bottom line is 14 pounds in 3 weeks is fantastic!

Thanks for all the encouragement!

Dana, thanks for your response. It's good to know that I am not alone in my WK 3 small loss.

Looking forward to my WK 4 WI on Tuesday!
