I posted these on my blog today (there are more on my blog), but thought I would share here. In the 'before' photo, I was around 255 (20 from my highest). What I also didn't know was that my blood pressure was sky high, my blood sugars were way high and my thyroid was way low. In December I went to the doctor and started working on my health. By April, I was off blood pressure meds and my blood sugars were normal. Repeat check in October and BP is fine, blood sugars are perfect and still working on my thyroid. What a difference a year can make. While for vanity reasons I would like to lose more, and I'm sure it would even help with my health, but I need to celebrate my transformation too.
I'm not even to my original goal, but I can still be proud of how far I have come and how I've changed my health. It was my husband's idea to do similar pictures so they we can document the difference from one year to the next.

Thank you everyone. it helped to see these pictures as this fall so far was rough with an injury, antibiotics and teh rest of the family getting sick. I didn't lose in October (didn't gain either). Seeing these last night really helped me see how far I've come.
And yes, my 'little guy' isn't so little. He's 6 and a half, but is very tall. We still call him the little guy as his big brother is nearly 9 years older and is 6'1" tall, so for the family, he's still 'little'.
