Everybody have they own opinion on what time u should stop eating. Most ppl say dont eat after 6 but I dnt eat after 9 cs I dnt go to bed til after 2 in da morning and plus I workout at night.
I have a very erratic sleep schedule. I usually cant sleep longer than 5 or so hours at a time. I try to time it that I dont eat 2 or 3 hours before I am gonna sleep, but sometimes I cut it closer than that.
My last big meal will be around 6pm and then I may have a light snack such as fruit or sugarfree jello around 8:30. I usually fall asleep around 10. But to be honest, I don't put much emphasis on when I eat and what time I go to sleep. For me it's mostly about how many calories I had that entire day, regardless of what time I ate them.

this. If I am hungry, I eat, regardless of when I go to bed.
I find that if I force myself to not eat even if I am hungry, I wake up even hungrier in the middle of the night.
Plus if you aren't on a standard schedule, then not eating after 6 pm has no significance at all IMO. If you have reflux, then it makes sense to not eat about 2-3 hours prior to when you go to bed, whatever time that is. But if you don't have reflux, heartburn, then I wouldn't even worry that much anyway.
If you are a nighttime snacked then setting a time for you to stop eating may be helpful. I'm not a nighttime snacker and it isn't unusual for me to eat dinner at 8 or 9. Although lately, I tend to eat earlier, around 7.
I usually finish dinner around 7-7:30 and then I have a nighttime snack (whole grain, fruit, protein, 4 oz milk and some fat) about 10 pm and try to head to bed around 11-12 pm. If I don't have a snack before bed I wake up starving around 4:30-5 in the morning. I don't put much stock in generalized "rules" of eating that are supposed to apply to everyone. Something I am really working on is listening to my body cues.
I sometimes have to have late dinners (like 9pm) then go to bed at 11pm. No trouble with my weight loss or sleep pattern at all so if you need to eat a late dinner or something then why not?
I am probably not the best person to ask this question of.
I make it a firm rule never to eat after I fall asleep unless I wake up. In that case I may have a snack.
I calorie count and I allow for late, sometimes late late late snacks in my daily food plan. In past diets I would always set stringent rules. I can't do this or I can't do that. I would at some point decide that I did not want those restrictions anymore and I would go back to my old ways. Then gain all I had lost back plus some.
This time around my plan is very flexible. No hard and fast rules. I try for 1500 cal per day and I calorie cycle so this is flexible. I try for 1500 mg sodium per day but this also varies. I have not ruled out any foods at all. If I choose to have my 1500 calories in all ice cream today, I am free to do that. I do not stop or start eating by what a clock says the time is.
I'm not really a night time snacker, so we have dinner a bit early, around 7-8pm and if I'm still hungry later, I might have a small snack, but I save most of my calories for dinner, so that rarely happens.
I don't tend to restrict myself to times though, because if I'm hungry, I'll eat.
I used to snack in the evenings, so I make it a rule not to now. I eat dinner around 6-6:30, then that's it for the day. Only herbal tea in the evening. I go to bed around 11, and am often hungry by bedtime, but I just think "I'll probably be down a pound tomorrow so that's good!"!
I usually have dinner at like 6 or 7pm. And I usually have a snack around 9pm and go to bed like 10 or 11-ish. I try not to eat about and hour before bed. And super heavy like 3 hours before bed because I get heart burn all night and wake up nauseous during the night and in the morning. Its more about cals in cals out for me. Timing is only to keep away the heart burn!!
Please keep your texting abbreviations for that purpose. We use English on here that is understandable by all. When you eat is of no consequence. The important thing is how much you eat. There is no benefit to stopping eating by a certain time.
