Default My Self Esteem and Life is Improving!

Every pound I lose and every day I choose to make healthy choices makes my self esteem bump up a little. It's amazing at how much better I feel emotionally, spiritually and physically. Today is a big day for me, it marks 42 lbs lost, I have 100 left. When I started, 40 lbs seemed unreachable and impossible. But 40 lbs is almost 1/2 of 100 lbs so now that I have achieved this, I know I can lose 100 more. My goal is NOT to lose 100 more pounds, my goal is to become as healthy as I can be.

I'm doing things today that I just couldn't do before. And I'm not talking about going up a flight of stairs without getting winded (even though I can do that now). I'm talking about... I'm starting a home business. I'm in the planning stages of my dream job. I just didn't know before what my dream job was. I used to always say "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up". It dawned on me all of a sudden while I was working that I was doing what I love! I think that improved self esteem has helped me to see that. I'm happier than I've ever been.

I hope that some of you who are struggling, like I was when I started will read this and see a glimmer of hope. The only thing I changed was every day when I wake up, I make a decision to stay on plan for that day only. I don't worry about if I messed up the day before or the party I have to go to next week. I focus on today only. It makes things so much more manageable.

First off- Congratulations on your weight loss! Woo-hoo great job!
Also I am happy for you that you are making healthier choices and that your self esteem is getting better. I think seeing that you can succeed in this area of your life helps you see that you can succeed in other areas as well. Congratulations on your new business and having the courage to say I can do this. You are very strong and becoming stronger in all areas of your life. Congratulations on realizing this and moving forward. I wish you the best of luck.

That's how I feel too! Plus the consistent exercise really helps keep my mood up too.
Great job on the 42 pounds! I know I will be there soon too.

hpnodat, thank you. That is fantastic advice and EXACTLY what I needed to hear! I'm starting to get a little taxed with this whole process; overwhelmed at the magnitude of what is left to do. So thank you

You're doing amazing! Congrats on the loss and keep up the good work! Working at just one day at a time has worked for me because the big picture was just too overwhelming.

I too have found that I have so much more self-confidence with my weight loss. It's not every day but it's certainly a lot more than when I was at my highest.

hpnodat, your post absolutely made my day. Congratulations, not just on your weight loss but on all of it. You seriously made me smile from the great vibe you put out there.

I've been feeling really good about what I've been doing lately, and for once I'm not thinking about "what if I screw this up?" -- I'm just enjoing the ride.

Thanks again -- positivity is contagious

What a fantastic post. I wish you all the best. Isn't it just wonderful when it all makes sense? Good luck on the new career choice. what is the nature of your home business?

I'll be somewhat in your neighborhood this weekend. My daughter lives in Raleigh and I'll be there for a few days. I don't think you're too far from Raleigh, are you?
