Hey... not feeling too hot today. I am really exausted and have back and leg pain (due to being PG). Just feeling cruddy! I have a ton, make that 2 tons of work to do, but I may beg to go home early if I still feel cruddy.

Belle... we were -10 degrees farenheit here. THAT IS REALLY COLD! I don't remember how to do the conversions, but I think that is colder than you. Been like this for 2 weeks. Last night I swear the furnace couldn't quite keep up with the cold. They say it is only supposed to reach 5 above faranheit today. Geeezzzz....

I thought I'd post a poll and be devil's advocate - although I truly do believe they are a flash in the pan. I think New Years can "renew" commitments and act as a fresh start, but I don't back people who from October on say "I'll start in the New Year". Anyone who's EVER been to a gym knows this to be a flash in the pan. I am getting poed with the Gym Resolutioners. All these "new people" and they crowd the gym. I am getting sick of exhibitionists bumping into me. I have to shower in the open stalls cuz the private ones are always taken and then I cna't find room on a bench to get dressed. I kid you not - naked, gross, exhibitionists bump into me while I am getting dressed. Its really annoying. So to the point where I won't go from 12-1 on workdays b/c of them!

Well today I tried on a pair of 16 pants that were too tight before xmas and guess what - THEY FIT! I am wearing them right now. I am very proud of this! Yay!! It makes up for how tired I am from packing all night.

And I went to the doc and he said I have a bladder infection - yup, another one!! He says i have a delicate PH balance. Duh. Now tell me how to keep them from recurring!! I hate peeing ALL THE TIME!! Plus, its painful.

Kim - you are in a dilemma - I'd be hesitant to work with dh since I worked with b/f and it was hard - we talked about the same people, same things, same issues - and now that we work at different places we have more to talk about - I get the gossip from his work and I complain about mine Ultimately, its up to you - when are you thinking of having babies? How exciting!!

Well, off to work - I get to "escort" about a professional photographer today for annual report pics. His name is Becq. Yup, like the rock star. And he doesn't like being called by his first name. He also says "sexy" every other word and has a british accent (think Jack on Will and Grace)....its all so cosmopolitan (gag!!). Should be an interesting experience.

Have a good OP day - I'll try to pop in later and see if anyone else shows up (sob!).

Belle, all I remember is 32 degrees F equals 0 degrees C. But then it goes wacky from there because it is not an equal 32 degrees all the time. I remember something about 9/4 or something like that. Honestly, I wish the US would switch to metric. So much easier!!!

Hate the gym resolutioners too. Last year I dreaded the gym in January. That and the college students who are on break come in. They never sign up for machines and are so rude. But with my being PG and it being soooooo cold here, I haven't been to the gym over lunch in a long time. So at least I don't have to fight those people. We go every Monday night for Emma's swim class and some Sat/Sun lately. Emma loves swimming and is learning to jump in.

Default Hello!

Hi everyone!

OK, this is like the third time I've started a post for today. I really am going to finish it this time.

For the poll, I'm afraid that the resolutions I have made have already gone straight down the toilet, so my answer was "Resolutions? What resolutions?"

On the bright side, I weighed myself at my parents' last night and was down 1/2 lb from where I was last time I weighed there. I've been eating OP for the most part, but haven't been getting the exercise in.

On the not-so-bright (and just plain depressing) side, my parents have both said that they can tell that I've gained weight. Thanks, guys. Unfortunately, that hasn't been motivating me to get into the gym. I just don't know where my motivation has gone... Sigh.

I asked a friend today if she'd like to maybe start going to WW together, and hopefully if I have a friend there, I'll stay for the meeting, and maybe she'll help me start going again.

Belle--How was your first belly dancing class? I hope you enjoyed it. I think it sounds like a lot of fun. Yikes, about that photographer. Oh well, make the best of it by remembering little details to come back here and tell us so we can laugh at him.

Jen--I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling so well. Go home, put your feet up (if you can do that while PG), and take a little rest. You have my permission.

Well, that's about all I know. I hope it picks up in here, I'll stop back in later.

I'm with Jess on the New Year's Resolution thing. Of course that's partly because as I mentioned yesterday - I'm in the process of re-vamping them.

Jess - hope that your friend can do WW with you. It's always easier when you have a buddy to comiserate/rejoice with of gains/losses.

Belle - congrats on the pants fitting. That is such a wonderful feeling!

JenL - can you take work home? That way you can at least be miserable in your own home and still be making headway on that 2 tons.

Kim - call the place that hasn't made an offer once more. Can't tell you whether to work with DH or not. CB and I work for the same company in different departments. We don't ever work together on projects which I think is a good thing. It is really nice to be able to go to lunch together once in awhile or take a break and get a smile from him on a rough day but sometimes it sucks when he needs to vent about work in the evenings and all I want to do is forget about it!

Don't know if you remember my saga about the dryer last week. Got a repair guy out finally on Saturday-turns out my dryer is fine but he discovered that I'd had an electrical fire in that outlet (who knows what miracle prevented a full fledged house fire) so tomorrow I get to take more vacation time to wait around on the electrician.

Hope you all keep warm today!

Hey all!

Soory ihaven't been around. Life has been really busy what with all the company we've had in the past week. I had an awesome birthday! DH made it really special. Then on the weekend we had a potlkuck party & it was wonderful! A whole bunch of my family came up & we ended up with 9 people sleeping over! It was really crowded but lots of fun! Unfortunately I didn't mangae to get much sleep all weekend & my sore throat ended up turning into a full fledged cold. i had to miss work Monday & then yesterday I ended up cancelling my last client b/c I was just too wiped. Today I feel really wiped & it is going to be a really long day. THis morning I had to worka t Cosmo (the place where I give treatments to people who have developmental challenges) b/c one of the girls is in Mexico & then this afternoon I have to go to my all the thime job & work a full day. I haad a terrible sleep last night so my energy is really low. DH woke up this morning with my cold too so its not too fun around here. One of our buddies fromout of town is staying here tonight too. Life is sooo buy! Thank goodness I have tomorrow off! So being sick did nothinh for my eating. DH was really tired so instead of cooking we have had a ton of tkae out int he past three days. I did not too bad for my b-day & the potluck but being sickblew it all to heck. BTW DH made me these really awesome Chocolate raspberry crepes for supper on my b-day from an old WW mag and they were so awesome & only 1 pt a piece. I'll post the rec when I get time. ANyway I should get my butt in gear for work this afternoon. Sorry no time to respond to you all properly. Talk to you later

Anopther quick thing. Whne DH & I moved into this place we had to find a conversion website b/c the thermostat is in Farenheight which we have no clue of. So if you want to know what the temp converts to check out: http://www.flowmeterdirectory.com/fl...rter/index.htm

You have to click on temperature though otherwise you're converting length I think.

Hi girlies!

I'm heading home but I wanted to pop in and say hi! The Internet at work has been sooo slow today ... we've been having phone problems all day long.

Thanks, everyone, for your advice! DH still hasn't gotten his offer so we're still waiting to see what happens.

Well, I'm off. Stay warm everyone! Feel better, Jen! YAYAYAYAYAYAY Belle on the pants! Hello to everyone!
