Default New here!! :)

Hey everyone I've just recently found this forum and all of you seem to be very helpful and supportive! My name is Katie and I had my first son 11 months ago and have been struggling to get rid or the weight. I seem to be going backwards and gaining anyways I've been reading about the south beach diet and picked up the book so my fiance and I can start it. Going grocery shopping tomorrow and will start Tuesday. Any helpful advice to get started? Any yummy foods I should pick up tomorrow and stock up on? Can't wait to hear from all of you ans become part of this group!!

Welcome, it is great here. I recommend you eat only foods you like - and there are so many options on SB! Beans really help, and dairy is important too. Good luck to you - posting on the daily thread and the on plan thread is great for being in touch and accountable.

I've heard a lot of good things about the SB diet, but I'm doing something else [that forbids dairy!] and its working for me.
Best wishes! I am new too

Welcome!

Helpful advice?? If you really get hungry, it's far better to eat something OP..even if it's extra and you think you shouldn't. It's far better than living in deprivation then finally dipping into something off plan.

Phase 1 is only two weeks of your life...clean is by far the best!

Best wishes!

Welcome! My advice - plan. It helped me to be sure my house was stocked with OP foods, lots of healthy snacks, and meals with planned leftovers.

My advice: clean out the cabinets, make donations to a food shelter and get the garbage out of site. Keep fully stocked. You may learn to LOVE V8 as well as beans! And come here if you need help: post a sample menu and we can help you plug holes or if you feel week (or sick in those first few days), know we are here!
