Question Mango!

I love but but am allergic to the skin. It contains the same oils as poison ivy/oak and gives me a similar reaction on and around my lips when I eat it. I have to be very careful when preparing it or else I will pay for the next few days. I have not been able to find canned mango that is not in syrup and have never seen it frozen. Has anyone had any similar experience or been able to find it canned/frozen?

I buy it frozen all the time. I put it in tupperware with some yogurt and take it to work and it thaws throughout the morning. I've also seen it pureed in a can at the grocery store if that works for you, but our grocery store has a pretty large ethnic section so you might have to go to an Indian grocery store if yours doesn't.

I buy it frozen from Walmart all the time. It's in the aisle with rest of the frozen fruit.

When you find it frozen, is it just bagged with the rest of the fruits? I only have Price Chopper, Hannaford, and Wal Mart around here. The only indian store has it canned, but in syrup. I may have to start going further to find it.

I've purchased a bag of it frozen from Costco a few times before. It's not in syrup or with other fruit.
