There is a sticky here (first one currently) about *fast food* restaurants. There is a Dining Out Guide book (available on Amazon for $5) ... but I don't know if that information exists on the internet.
Usually I just look up where I/we are planning on going and try to pick something acceptable in advance. Or just wing it if I end up somewhere, using the SBD principles.
Here is one summary of how to eat out.
Luckily most restaurants now have more healthy choices. When I have been traveling on the road, I usually have better luck at chains than local diner-type places (sadly). I have been able to eat on SBD in Denny's, Macaroni Grill, Chili's, Red Lobster... a place called Roadhouse Grill (or something like that) recently had an amazing special, 2 dinners for like $13, and I got grilled salmon (8 oz serving size!! I took half home), steamed broccoli, side salad and split a baked sweet potato; unsweetened iced tea to drink. And some peanuts in the shell before. Yum. I was very happy with that meal.
