Unhappy First Week And I Sprained My Foot!

I am a walker for my exercise, and I've gotten back on board (again) and walked 3.5 miles a day @ 4mph for the last 6 days...

My foot started hurting about the 2nd day in, but I kept going because I didn't wanna be a baby or use it as an excuse not to exercise.

Well, by trying to do what I thought was the right thing I screwed myself because I just went to get it checked and it's a bad sprain, and now the doc says I'm not allowed to do my walking for at least a week until this heals.

I am SO upset right now..

Ok, so yesterday when the doc said "No walking" I cried BUCKETS for HOURS...
My awesome workout plan DERAILED just like that. Alllllll those calories that I can burn in an hour, no more of that for a whole week!?

Today I am trying to get over it and just used my resistance bands for 15 minutes. That's as long as I could go, and my arms are still weak/shaking just typing this. But I'm gonna try and do it a few more times throughout the rest of the day to try and burn at least SOMEWHAT close to what I was burning walking.

I gotta get the job done any way I can, right?

Go SWIMMING! If you don't have a pool, join your local YMCA! It's excellent exercise, and believe me, the pool at the Y isn't going to be full of glamorous, judgmental people.

I am trying to join my local YMCA, but I am leaving on Tuesday for a week out of state house/dogsitting and I don't drive so I won't have access to anything like that. By the time I get home, I should be able to get back to my walking routine.. It's just gonna be a hard week with these stupid bands LOL
