Can people on FACEBOOK know you looked at their profile?
I've had Facebook since it was only college students. I keep seeing these aps or advertisements for things that let you know who is looking at your profile. I did some google searching and the answer I came up with was an unconvincing no. I was hoping someone more knowledgeable could enlighten me. Plus I heard about a new facebook app where people can tag products (like coke) and get paid based on how much their pics are viewed. So at the very least people can know how much their pics are getting looked at.
Like most people on facebook I've done my fair share of stalking and am starting to get a little worried. Can people know you've looked at their profile 87 times a week (I'm not that bad). I was hoping someone in the know could let me know what people can and cannot find out. Reguardless I think I'm going to chill out with the FB, it's starting to scare me.
I don't think so. It's just junk. Like on myspace I always tried to get a tracker to see who looked, it never actually worked or was even the thing it said I downloaded lol.
If that were the case my ex husband would be asking why I am always looking at his gf's page, and his page. And all my ex's would probably be curious. I just like to know what's going on! Well, mostly that I'm doing better than they are haha!
I think there were a couple legitimate apps that did let you see who was looking based on different things. I think, for example, one would show you who visited the page most frequently. It wouldn't show every single person who viewed the profile though. Don't worry too much about it because those types of apps are against facebook's TOS, so they get removed pretty quickly. Any ad you see for an app like that is most likely spam.
No its against FB's policy and facebook can get sued if they allowed those apps..
momohime; I thought so as well but my friend explained to me- they showed the top 5 people who wrote to you the most, not who view your profile the most which makes sense lol
this helps alot in relieving my guilt. Sometimes when I'm looking at pics of people online I have that weird feeling that they are looking at me. What a relief.
though the college guy friend I've been stalking the most just showed up in a bunch of photos with a SKANKY looking chick. She had her hand on his knee/inside thigh in nearly every one of them. So I think its time to chill out with the stalking .
Haha, my stalking got so obsessive- with everyone that I just closed it! My life is much better now! Though, when I get down much lower I'm posting all my sexy pics and fun times too damn it! LOL
