Question Just starting out... could use some advice!

I've always been pretty thin... until I quit smoking, that is. I always thought that the weight gain after quitting rumor was BS... well, it's not. Anyway, I'm not worried about talking about the smoking issue...

My question is... I finally have a butt (not big... just nice and round) and I REALLY don't want to lose that! I've always had a pretty flat butt, so I'm enjoying this... how do I lose the belly and thighs without losing the butt? Is this even possible... or am I dreaming here?

Welcome to 3fc! I'm so glad you found this site. I don't think it's possible to pick where your body will lose weight and where it won't. However, you can do some weight training to build up the booty muscles and possibly give a rounder appearance? You may want to check out the exercise portion of this forum. I wish I could lose weight anywhere but my boobs, but I still haven't figured that one out yet!

Ya... I want to keep the boobs too. LOL I guess losers can't be choosers... but I really wish I could. I'll check out the exercise forum as well. I've only been on here for about 20 minutes... still feeling my way around. Thank you for the advice though. I think I'm gonna like it here.

How do you get your weight tracker thing to appear at the bottom of the post?

Welcome to 3FC!

Ticker & Signatures - They're available to members after 20 days and 20 posts are made. I used it as a mini-goal.

Unfortunately you can't really "spot reduce" as much as I wish I could chose where the fat would leave first...we just have to accept that as we lose weight it will leave from where it chooses. That being said, if you do some weight lifting and exercising as you lose weight you might end up looking a little differently by the end =)
