Default Restarting after false start!

Hi,

I did not start SB when I posted recently. I falsely thought that I could just manage eating whatever foods in small portions, but it has gotten my carb cravings again. I really need to admit I cannot eat white/carb foods.

Does anyone else try and "fool" themselves to think that they can eat all foods and still lose?

Thanks for the support here!

Lynn

Lynne, I'm 72 and tried to fool myself about that for forty some years!
Now I have smartened up - mostly.
Keep on keeping on.

I am very sensitive to carbs too. I did WW for 9 weeks, did not cheat ever and only lost 4 lbs. But I was eating a very high carb, low fat diet. I've been doing SBD for 8 weeks now and have lost 13 pounds, following it exactly. There is just something about sugar/white flour, even low calorie, that stops me from losing weight. You will do great on SBD if you stick with it exactly and those sugar craving will definitely go away in time. I was a major sugar addict and I am amazed at how I don't crave sugar all the time now. You can do it!!

Agreed. I know if I buy bread I will eat bread. the whole loaf. In two days. With cheese. I will not try to kid myself this time around.

Yeah. I'm with you. I just need to avoid carbs. I had some Vietnamese food for dinner tonight and I've been feeling munchy ever since from the white rice. Not worth it!

Last weekend I went on a full on bread binge.

Again, not worth it!

I fooled myself multiple times. I would food journal and eat in moderation and all that got me was no where. Not up, luckily, but not down either. To lose, I knew I'd have to listen to that little voice inside my head that said "put down the english muffin"...
