Default Weekly weigh-in for end of summer goals!

So in August I'm moving out of my parents house, out of state even, to live with my boyfriend. I've gained 30ish pounds back this past year (due to a new job and life...[i have alot of excuses ]), and would really like to get that off plus a little more before I move. For a few reasons..

1) to maybe give me a boost of confidence 2) cause I know the first little bit after moving is going to be stressful, and weight gain may happen 3) cause it gives me a goal to go towards!

I hate weighing myself, because if it is a bad day on the scale, it does really ruin my day.. So I'm going to do weekly weigh ins.. Every thursday

I'd love for you guys to join me! & keep with updating and supporting eachother.. Doesn't have to be thursdays.. that is just the day I picked.

Lets make this summer a productive one together!!!

My goal by August is 195.


5/12/11 --- 231lb
5/19/11 --- 228lb
5/26/11 --- 228lb
6/02/11 --- 228lb
6/09/11 --- 228lb
6/16/11 --- 228lb
6/23/11 --- 224lb yay! finally broke my stall
6/30/11 --- 221.6lb

Hi mypinkpolkadot

i have been going great and the exercise has been productive and constant, but like yourself its too easy to go off track, we had Easter and 2 bank holidays in a row and that involved going out and eating and drinking and lazy days..

so for the past 2 weeks i have been trying to get off the weight i put on, which happened this morning cheer but i am sick of it now i have been up 2lb and then down 2 lb for the past month...

this sounds like a fab idea, i also moved offices and found it pretty different and kinda stressful , so its time to be proactive, i ate popcorn and made a chocolate cake with toppings and strawberries earlier and of course could not stop at 1 slice (hangs head in shame) but i am putting it here i print so i have the guilts and will get off my bum tomorrow

so tomorrow i intend to give it socks and lots of exercise and check in to weigh in weekly,
MY GOAL BY AUGUST IS 168


Here goes to keepin on track for the summer and giving it welly.. i also quit the smokes and this website has totally taken my mind off the cravings all weekend.. woohooo it rocks..

YAY! I'm glad you're excited for this.. I can't wait to see how well we do this summer.
I'm also VERY proud of you for quitting smoking!!!!!!!

This website is amazing. I'm so glad I found it. I sit on here when it's slow at work, keeps me from nibbling

mypinkpolkadot, this is a great idea!

I've been avoiding weighing myself because I've been having trouble staying on plan lately. I think that maybe if I MADE myself weight in once a week, it might give me more motivation to stick to the plan. I'll be weighing in every Sunday (starting tomorrow), and I would like to reach 200 by August if I can, but I'm not sure how much I've gained back (it's been a few weeks since I've weighed in and I've been super off plan), so I could live with 210 if I needed to. Really, I think my goal should be more of a stick to plan kind of thing. I don't care how much I lose, as long as I stick with this and I keep trying.

Great thread!

I initially wanted to reach my goal of 120 by my birthday (August 2nd,) but in truth I'm kind of a slow loser, and otherwise I'm not in a hurry. Right now I'm 140, and would glad to at least be at 130 by then, and 120 by fall.

I also think I should only weigh once a week... Even though I've been doing a 1200 calorie/day diet, I lose so slowly, and get discouraged seeing the same number all the time. I'm going to just weigh on Sunday (I think,) so that I'm surprised by any changes.

Well I had my first weigh in today. I'm back up to 231. I honestly don't think I would be able to make it to 200 by August...maybe by the end of August. It doesn't matter though. I'm just going to focus on sticking to my plan one day at a time and see where it takes me. =D

Nothing wrong with big goals! Just makes you work harder!! Thats why mine is 35~+ pounds... who knows what will happen if we don't try

Summer is always a time of year to aim for a good weight loss - summer clothes are my own personal nightmare! Would be nice to feel comfortable in them for a change. I'm in!

My goal by August is 172 lbs (12 lb loss)

I've not seen a shift in my weight for 2 weeks now, really need to step up my game to shift the weight! But I have lost weight in terms of measurements...so that counts for something!

i'm going to weekly weigh in every Saturday, is this ok? or have you a specific day in mind for the weekly weigh in? ?

Ugh, I got my period a week early...(I guess that's better than being late hehe) So now I'm worried about my weekly weigh in.. Sometimes I lose on my cycle, and sometimes I gain. Grrr... Mother nature sucks sometimes! Haha

Nightmare, although i'm usually up when its on the way about 3 days before and then during or after i'm back down.. hope it goes your weigh sorry couldn't resist.. bad joke i know..

If you are up on the scales you will be down next week so hang in there.. i worry more about my lack of motivation TOM sucks.. guys have it so easy
