Question We've all done it or will do it...

As long as you have been on ww, how many official stalls have you had? And by stalls, I mean hovering around the same weight for 3+ weeks?

I have hit one. I know I will push through.

I'm at the same weight for about 10 weeks now. Today i'm doing a juice fast/cleanse. I know it's not the way to eat correctly but i have to do it as i'm having such an issue in that department! Maybe it will also get me past this crappy plateau.

Your not alone, that's for sure

I've been pretty lucky so far, but I've also been wary of the fact that this is kinda inevitable so I had taken steps to try to avoid it already before I hit the 3 week mark.

I thought I was hitting a stall recently because I lost steadily and predictably from the beginning, and then the scale didn't want to move for almost 2 weeks. I'd been loosely following a wendy type plan though (using my weeklies to purposefully have high and low days) and at the 2 week mark I had a whoosh of 3 pounds.

So I thought I was headed for that plateau, but I'm counting myself lucky for now. I know that no matter what I do at some point I'm gonna hit a snag, but that's okay by me. I've already accepted it as an inevitability and I'm psyching myself up to not give up or give in. This WOE has got to be a permanent change for me anyway whether the scale is going down or not. I'm really happy with this plan and how fast I've lost but in the end how quickly I get to goal doesn't matter-I don't plan on getting to the finish line and taking a break. Maintenance is my issue, so a stall doesn't feel like the end of the world.

Since starting in January, I've been pretty lucky in having no stalls or plateaus yet, though I think it's gonna happen soon. Not looking forward to it but I hope I can deal with it if/when it comes, lol.

We all can push through it!!!!!

Twice. Once time was shortly before Points Plus came out. In retrospect I was eating too many of my weekly points.

The other I lost .4 of a pound total in 3 weeks. It really wasn't a plateau. We were under contract to sell our house and were busy getting ready to close and ate out a lot and I didn't exercise (except packing boxes) so it was more my food choices than a true plateau.

I haven't had any stalls, yet. All the times I've maintained or gained over several weeks time, it's been totally deserved.

I lost 2lb last Saturday when i did WI, and broke into tears of relief infront of everyone in the office (yes i felt stupid, but its such an emotional journey..). Before that week, i had stalled for 3 weeks at the very same number. I guess i was half expecting to be let down when i went to get weighed in again, which is why i started to cry. This week i am kind of anxious again, because i dont want the same to happen, or to see a gain. TOM has been visiting this week, and i am trying to remember that if it is up, i know why

Hi! I just joined yesterday! I joined for this very reason hoping I can get some ideas to get me out of this plateau! I have been the same weight for 3 weeks now. I started WW on January 5th and just cruised right along losing weight every week and then boom! I have been reading and researching and spoke to my leader. I am going to try some different things this week hoping for good results at the scale on Wednesday!

Having done this before and *sigh* doing it again. I found out several things.

Sometimes it takes your body awhile to catch up with what you're doing, and our bodies have their own patterns of loss.

The key is persistence and patience. Hang in there. I tend to do very well for 4-5 weeks and then stall a bit for 2 and then back to better losses.

I probably just jinxed myself but I haven't had any since I started WW in August last year - just one week with a gain and one where I maintained.
