Question Got up late, and now what?

Last two days I got up pretty late. I'm normally up by 9:30, today I slept til 11:40. I ate crackers with tuna for breakfast. It's 3:01 now and I've already worked out and showered. I don't think i'm HUNGRY but I could eat. I was thinking of having some cabbage-and-hamburger...thing...I made last night with extra virgin olive oil (lean hamburger, cabbage, EVOO, carrots, onion, garlic). But I don't know how to count it exactly (I'd only eat a cup anyway, but still), AND we're going out for dinner tonight around 5-5:30.

Should I just bite the bullet and wait until dinner? I'm going to start doing 30-40 minutes on the bike in the evening, too. I need to get to 159 asap, and I've been stuck at at 166.something for the last week or so.

I'd at least eat a snack so you aren't ravenous by dinner and then you won't go overboard either.

I'm not really sure what to have. I try to eat every 4-5 hours, but since I got up so late that's kinda screwed me over. We're sort of in-between shopping right now, so we haven't got a lot of 'healthy' things to eat. No fruits, hardly any veg, no milk or lunchmeat. Any suggestions?

Can you scramble up an egg or two?
Or figure out the calories in the whole cabbage/hamburger meal and then you'd know what one cup of it would be - or a half cup, etc. That might be enough to quell hunger - but if you're not hungry and you'll head out in two hours, I'd skip it and have a cup of tea or something and enjoy your dinner.

Something with lots of fibre would be good and fill you up for a couple hours until you go out for dinner. Half a cup of dry cereal or maybe a small serving of oatmeal? A tablespoon of peanut butter for some healthy fats? You say you don't have much fruits and veg but do you have some celery to go with the peanut butter? An apple?

Not to be one of those people that shoots all suggestions down, but I don't eat peanut butter anymore, though I still miss how celery and PB tastes. Also the only cereal we have at the moment is some crappy kids stuff loaded with sugar, so I decided against it. I settled on some tea with honey and a small, teeny bit of that cabbage stuff. I feel a bit better. We're going out to a chinese place, so I'm going to load up on the veggies, a salad, and try to make as healthy choices as I can.

I made it through fine! I had a big serving of steamed broccoli, a big spinach salad, and a roll and a teeny serving of mashed taters, and a big glass of water. I was going to have some meat, but nothing really looked that appealing. And I didn't have any cakes or any of their sugary bread donut thingies! Instead I got a 60 cal tootsie pop after dinner.
