Height: 5'9 current size 8 and some 6's --never ever been a 6 (not even in highschool)
I drink a gallon a day -- and am used to it (have been doing this for years so the pee thing isn't as bad) -- I am a firm believer that water helps flush your system and keeps you healthy regardless of weight loss. It has helped me to keep my skin relatively firm through pregnancy (and I was HUGE - thanks to my 11+ pound 24 inch long bundle of joy) and in loosing almost 45 pounds in 14 weeks -- I say raise a glass and drink :-)
I drink 3 bottles of 1 liter almost 100 ounces of water. Do you ladies think that is too much?
Reema
No, I don't -- if you want to flush out toxins, etc. But there is a handy rule of thumb. 1/2 oz of water for every pound of body weight. That's the bare minimum. Go for it!

Does the water we add to our powdered drinks count toward the daily quota?
Well once again this forum inspires me to be more commited to IP and changing my life style of eating.
I should be drinking 90 oz according the 1/2 ounce theory? Where did that originate from?
I have a hard time getting 40 to 60 ounces, I will just have to try harder.
Thanks again Linden and others for once again keeping me focused.

Try HARDER. Please?
And what I quoted is standard medical info. And yes, of course, the water you add to IP packets counts. My authority here? Me.

OK, OK I got the point! Thanks.I wonder why my coach only says to have 64 ounces of water daily. I will ask her Monday. I have followed your advice and the other long time IPers and have not been led astray yet. The experienced threads the rest of you are on is something I do follow. Also as my journey continues I do go the stickies more and more. By the way, miss all of you.
Also Linden, you asked me once how I decided on Thumper. When I was under 10 and over 5 yrs old my dad took my older sis and me to see Bambi. He sat inbetween both of us, I was on his right. When Bambi's mother was killed I remember looking up at my dad and seeing him cry. The "guy" kind of cry, reserved but there. I remember feeling my heart swell with love for him and a whole new respect for the wonderful man he was and continued to be right up until his death at age 83. He was intelligent, sensitive, funny, wise and kind. He had a soft spot for Thumper in the movie, he made my dad laugh, as I like to think I often did, intentionally and unintentionally!
So when I was thinking of my first "chat" name Thumper seemed like an obovious choice, as it had also just come up in a conversation with my husband.
I drink 100 ounces as well. 80 is my coach's minimum. I figure after my 2 cups of coffee and green tea during the day I've replaced my caffeine intake and had my 80 minimum. Also, I drink A LOT of uncaffeinated herbal tea.

I wondered if you were alluding to Bambi. Thumper has to be one of the most endearing characters in children's films and what an endearing, wonderful memory.
