Default How much water weight can you have?

So far on my weight-loss journey I have lost 16 lbs (25 days, 1200 cal a day).
How much of this do you think is just water weight? I have been this weight for so long that it's really hard to believe I could be losing weight, even if it's only 16 lbs.
BTW I eat a LOT of salt- way more than I should. I do however drink five 20 oz bottles of water a day and make sure i always eat at least 3 simi-healthy meals, but I put salt and pepper on everything.

Assuming you weren't on a low carb diet plan before I would guess 5-8 lbs of water + another 1-2 lbs of less food going through your bowels.

But hey - it's just a guess and in the scheme of things doesn't make any difference.

CONGRATULATIONS! Keep it up!

I don't have an answer other than to say you are carrying around 16 less pounds. Whether it is fat or water, it is 16 pounds less of you than 25 days ago, and that is excellent! I really don't care whether the weight I lose it fat or water.....and neither do my pants.

The human body is mostly water, so I guess it's possible that there's a lot of water weight, but I always find that, all things the same, if I don't drink my water for a couple of days and eat salty foods (like movie theater popcorn) and start to retain, I'll carry around about 3-4 pounds of water weight. I wouldn't count more than 5-7 at the max as water.
