Default Hi!

My group moved to Facebook and we are loving it, but I am still addicted to coming to 3FC...looking for a place to post....I am 45, last year was a rough year with losing both parents and the stress eating that errupted...trying to get motivated once again.

Welcome, Jules! Please join us on the Marching into spring daily thread ... and hopefully someone more clever than I will start the April one tomorrow We've got a good group of supportive posters. Jump right on in!

I cannot imagine losing both of my parents in one year - and i was a later-in-life surprise for them, so they're a bit older than my peers' parents. That had to be just a terrible time for you.

Jules! I lost my mom in my 40s too, the week before my birthday. Her final 6 months were agonizing, one thing after another. It felt like the blows never stopped coming. I'm really glad you're here at 3FC. There are so many supportive and compassionate folks here from all walks of life. Come on over to the daily chat. We'd love to be there for you.

My Mom fought a real battle, I miss her everyday. She was my best friend and my go to person. Her love was unconditional. Thanks for making me feel welcome!

The end of this month will be one month since I lost my Dad...he had a brain stem stroke and died in a lot of pain...couldn't open his eyes or talk to us although he knew we were there. It was horrible and of course food was what I turned to. You have had so much loss and I admire your strength to move past this and try and take care of yourself. That shows a lot of character and determination. Your parents would have wanted you to be healthy. I'm very sorry for your loss.
