How much does your weight fluctuate in a day?
I check my weight every day without recording it. Normally there's a 2 to 4lb difference from the day before. Yesterday i was 261. Today I couldn't believe I went from that to 254lb in a day! I am sick (sinus infection) and I also just started intermittent eating for the last few days (16hrs non eat, 8 hrs eat), but even with that, 7 lbs in a day? Just so you knw, even though I am sick, I'm not starving myself. I still make myself eat. I was a really bad night binger before (which is probably one of the biggest factor to my weight). I'll definitelly take the 7lbs loss though, but I don't think this is quite normal. Also I posted 2 threads about how I was losing inches, but gained/maintained my weight, in case that has anything to do with it. How much does your weight fluctuate in a day?

I normally fluctuate 2-5 pounds through out the day and I am usually 1-2 pounds heavier before I go to sleep.
You may be seriously dehydrated. Have you been drinking enough water? Is your pee dark yellow? It should be light yellow if you have enough water and clear if you have been drinking too much water. Intermediate fasting doesn't sound like the best idea when you are sick it puts your body under stress you may want to just eat normally until you get healthy again.

Not sure that I've ever had a 7 pound fluctuation... but, I do write down my weigh ins:
yesterday: first AM - 184, after workout - 182.3, bedtime - 185.6
Last Sunday looks to be my biggest fluctuation recently:
first AM - 184.8, after dinner - 186.4, bedtime - 187.2
I guess about 3 pounds is normal for me. I usually lose 2 pounds over night. I only coun my first AM weigh in.

I always weigh myself twice a day, once in the morning after i use the bathroom and right before bed. In the morning im usually 2 pounds lighter than the night before. Between the morning and at night ive gained 2-3 pounds, which i kno its from the food i ate and water.

Short answer: 2 lbs typical, maybe 3 lbs occasionally.....
mine is typically exactly 2 lbs up at night 95% of the time. During the day, it's usually less like 1-1.5 lbs up from the morning weigh in. Very rarely, I'll be up like 4 lbs up from the morning weigh in at night, but then my next morning weigh in is also up. If I've done lots of sweating, I will weigh like a lb or 2 less than my morning weigh in, but it obviously goes up when I drink

The only time I dropped that much in a day was when my battery needed to be replaced.
That said, illness could definitely have something to do with it and you likely are a bit dehydrated.
My weight may fluctuate UP 2-3 pounds, but downward generally 1 pound at most.

2-5 lbs within a day. I'm usually 1.5-2 lb lighter in the morning than right before I go to sleep.
stasiagirl did you figure out what happened? Scale malfunction or an actual loss? My scale sometimes gives me readings 1-2 lbs apart so I have to take it several times before I get a somewhat accurate number. I'm curious to see how this turned out for you!

Scale seems to be okay. I actually bought another one a couple of months ago thinking that the original scale can't be right when I kept getting on it my weight would go up and up (same position on the floor and im not moving while its telling me my number). But the new scale does the same thing. i even make sure its not tilted when i store it under the vanity. oh well, though. Maybe it was because i am sick. At least one thing came out good in having a sinus infection. i still am not over it and worse it keeps raining and im trying to stay in this boring house as much as possible hoping to not prolong my sickness.

I jump anywhere from 2-5 lbs in a day- it just depends on how much exercise I have done and what I've eaten, etc.

From day to day, if I am maintaining and eating well? I fluctuate maybe a quarter of a pound. During the course of a day, from morning to night? It can be 2-4 pounds, on average.

I have seen fluctuations of 4+ lbs during the course of the day. My Wii tells me "your weight can fluctuate by as much as a kilogram during the day" and I laugh because I have seen mine fluctuate by 2 kilos!
Also because I don't work out on my Wii Fit (or do my body tests) at the same time each day, my chart looks like a roller coaster! lol
