Some of you said to let you know when I finally had "the big date." It was this afternoon. Both of us were off so we went to Applebees for lunch and then went to a movie. I survived it and had a good time! After not being on a first date in over a decade (since before I was married) it was kind of a big deal for me. He treated me like a lady and it was obvious that he likes me. So now I can answer my first dating question. "Do guys go out with plus sized women?" yes they do! I really do believe it depends on how you carry yourself, dress, and your personality too. Of course I am not planning on staying this size but it's good to get out there again!

Your story inspires me. . .for so long I've basically not even thought about dating until I lose at least a good bit of weight. . .but you've got such a great attitude about it! I agree with you totally. . . in life, so much depends on how we feel about ourselves and how we project that.
i felt that way until david. he said what attracted him was my confidence -- although i was overweight and knew it, i was ok with myself and who i am, and it showed. now he's helping me with my weight loss journey, and my confidence just keeps going up!!
YAY for the good guys -- the ones who realize that women aren't just boobs, tummy, and butt. they're people who deserve to be loved.

Well, you want details? that is funny! Well, to tell you the truth before the date all I could think of was should I kiss him or not at the end? And guess what? We actually kissed DURING the movie. I totally could not believe it! That is so not me. When I met my ex husband I was an 18 year old virgin who wouldnt dream of kissing on the first date!
With this guy, we are coworkers and have known each other for a few years only as coworkers. When he found out I was seperated that was when he started coming by (when I suspected he liked me.) We have been emailing each other a few weeks at home (not at work!!) before we went out. So maybe that's why we kissed. I feel really comfortable with him. He is very funny, sweet, holding doors for me, etc... He has already emailed me today and said he is looking forward to going out again soon!
I swear I feel like I am 18 again!!

We actually got together today again!
We had breakfast, went shopping, saw a movie, and had lunch.
This was an 8 hour mega-date!! I had a blast, laughing and carrying on, and somehow the crowds at the malls and stores didnt even phase me!
I am glad if this inspired some of you to get out there. There is someone for everyone! Even if this relationship doesnt work out, I know that I will find the right guy some day, and I dont plan on settling either, no matter my size.
This will be it for the dating updates as this hopefully will go on for some time!
