Default Someone PLEASE assure me I can go biking

I'm having a really blah day. TOM is acting whacky and I don't want to do my workout. (Or anything else really.)

I do, however, feel like biking.

Except I'm afraid to go.

Mostly because I'll have to bike on roads. And I'm not even afraid of getting hit. I'm afraid of being in people's way.

Someone please reinforce how stupid that is, and that I have a right to bike if I want to.

Stick to the side of the road where a bike lane would be and you won't be in anyones way. You'll be fine get out there and enjoy your work out!

You go get on that bike and RIDE girl!!

Use any little nagging voices or fears that you have to your advantage. Fear can be a terrific motivator if you use it that way.

I used to feel the same way as you do right now. I wasn't afraid of being hit either. I was always worried that I would be in someone else's way. Someone in a vehicle. Someone who didn't have 2 seconds for me to get out of the way. Now I just look at it like "I am on a bike, getting healthier, and you are in a car". I have just as much right to be here as you do. Use positive mantras to keep you moving forward with your fitness goals.

I want to hear that you went for your ride! Please report back! LOL (seriously)!

Also, great job on your weight loss.

Thanks guys.

I ended up going for about a 30 minute ride. Once I got over my initial anxiety and convinced myself if I just followed my husband's lead I would be okay it was really fun! And I even saw another biker on the same road. =)

The fresh air did wonders for me. I'm gonna go do a TurboFire video now!
