Hi Everyone

I receontly started using the food logger on this website, and wanted people's opinions.

Do you find the burn meter accurate?

I am changing up my routine from zigg-zagging to just eating 1600 a day so I can use the website, and I want to know if it's worth it.

Thanks!

I generally don't think any of the burn calculators are very accurate.

I don't even try to calculate what I have burned because there is always such a difference between the machines, the websites, or any books. Are you just tracking for your own knowledge or are you looking into eating back some calories?

I go to the gym 4 times a week and I like to be sure I am cutting back and burning enough a week for me to lose 1-2lbs.

Well, the good news is you can figure that out... but only by seeing how much weight you lose after increasing the workouts.

I use caloriecount.com and like it. I don't pay much attention to the burn meters. I'll log my exercise just to keep track of what I've been doing each day, but I don't pay attention to how it affects my burn meter each day. There's just no way it can be accurate enough to bother caring about much.

But I like their food logger and such a lot

Yeah I use it and find it hugely helpful...I take the whole thing with a pinch of salt, especially the calories it claims I burn through exercise, but I really find it a very quick and useful way to see how balanced my eating has been, how active I've been and how my weight has fluctuated, all there on one page in front of me.
